Reading the article it sounds like it would be a disaster fior any SL club to sign him.

Hasn't he had a whole series of bad injuries to both knees? If so, any club signing him would be taking one hell of a gamble.

True but he seems to have bounced back incredibly well from them. Reads unlikely to be happen but he's certainly a player that would light up SL no end!

No, We have a good blend of youth and experience. Nick Fozzard, Mathers and Aspinwall arent teenagers either. But we have a great blend at our club, A core of young Cas players, We have built up, In the last 3 years of super league. Into first team players.

However your missing the point slightly in that we also need to sign those top flight experienced players as well! Which is no different to Castlefords signings of Widders, Sargent, McGoldrick, Youngquest etc etc since you where promoted.

Chase was unproven, Not really rated. Now he is one of the best in the world.

Kearney came a nobody, as did L'Estrange. Now up there with the best players in their position in SL.

People are acting like hes about 35. He's 28. Hardly a has been. Katie i know Lockyer has had enough but if we had pulled it off it would have been fantastic for Widnes. We have a fantastic amount of youth coming threough the first time and if anything, to even up this "balance" we need experienced players who will not just aid our youngsters in their improvement, but still have talent to offer.

Leigh have played most of the season with a all british squad and are top of the league,robbie paul as not played for weeks,it can be done,just have faith in home grown

You don't see the aussies flooding there game with oap british players do you??? kid comes through they play him and guess what he grows with the experiance and if he fails he ends up in super league anyroad

We dont want to flood our side with them. You look in every SL club, they have 3/4 aussies/overseas players. Thats all we want. No where have we stated out intentions are to go out and buy shed load of aussies and fill our side with them. We have one of the best academies in england and will bring them through in the next 3 years.

You gotta love it! Widnes get the nod, well documented sides need improving yet when linked with former SOO players gets comments like this, despite pretty much every single SL side having 8-10 O/S players on their roster minimum

get some of these so called super kids in your first team you never know you may win a game let alone a championship or grand final this season eh
