Absolutely fantastic news if true – here’s hoping for a full Wembley and a real shot in the arm for international Rugby League as we build up to the world cup

What's the matter - did your first answer let your standards slip and not make you sound like enough of an @rse and you had to get another one in?

I for once appalud the RFL. Good idea. We got over 80,000 down there for GB v Aus(albeit the world cup final). Hopefully we could get 40/50,000 at the very least for two games. I might give that a bash myself.

I'm just concerned that whilst outwardly it seems an attractive proposition to play a 'double header' at Wembley so we can all reminisce about those halcyon days gone by when RL internationals at Wembley attracted big crowds, we may find that supporters of the England team from the north (we shall call them 'flatcappers' for continuity) might not make the trip to London.

The Welsh RL supporters (who with respect probably wont be that many) might not bother either.


So what we are left with is a game at Wembley Stadium (capacity around 90,000) that will be incredibly lucky to even get half that amount..

The only people that will benefit will be the Kiwis and Australians who are already in London anyway.

I'm convinced that if you added the 2 crowd totals from those 2 games together it would be greater than one 'double header' at Wembley.

I, on the other hand, believe that Wembley and Rugby League are intrinsically linked through 80 years of glorious history covering internationals and Challenge Cup finals and think it will be a huge success

But, then again, the difference between you and I is that I am a Rugby League supporter so I’m bound to think this

And you're convinced that if you filled Loftus Rd (18500 capacity) or The Stoop (14816 capacity) along with the 'JJB' as you call it (25138 capacity) we'd get more than 45000? You sure about your maths brainiac?

Where will you be travelling from Baz/Phipps? No-one knows where you're from, who you support and where you live. You're very secretive these days since you left Shepherds Bush. Maybe you don't tell people because you contradict and trip yourself up all the time without anyone knowing anything about you, so why would you give that away and make yourself seem even more stupid than you already do?

It's wishful thinking to say it would be 45,000. Hopefully it would be but I'd still take a combined 'JJB' or Loftus/Stoop to beat the double header total at Wembley.

Okay Baz. I'll make you a £100 charity bet that if the double header goes ahead more than 45000 turn up.

Chuffed with the ambition. The aim has to be to fill the bottom tier with really cheap tickets!

I still don't understand why the RFL don't do a 'tournament ticket' which gets you into all the games.

Good idea. I'd buy one today and book the shifts off now if they did that. At least the RFL have shown they have ambition, reasonable ticket prices and match times and a bit of promo and I can see a big crowd on.
