I've just been trawling through the TV listings to see when The SL Show is on, found it at 2.05am Monday morning, what a joke.

I'm (if it's okay with the Moderators) going to send an email with a link to this thread to the BBC feedback department.

So any comments about the programme would be most welcome. Personally, I think the programme should be nationwide (so anyone outside the heartlands please comment on this) and given a regular slot. Personally I think BBC2 after MOTD2 would be ideal, I think many football fans would tune in to the programme as well as Rugby League fans watching both shows. A bit of promo wouldn't go amiss either.

I'm also going to do a poll too.

and I'm not exagerating by saying it is 100,000,000,000 precent better than the current dross being pumped out by ITV/BBC as being a premier sporting event.

Agreed, i've got 'Hot TV' magazine at work with me now and the only listing is 2.05am. This shows the problem that Rugby League fans have with watching the programme. I don't know the viewing figures for the show, but I assume they are poor as it gets chucked all over the place in the scheduling because the BBC won't give it a chance.

There should be an option in the poll for those who already watch it on a weekly basis (which I do not). But my answer is "Yes" I would, providing it doesn't clash with any other SL content.

That's why I think Sunday evening would be good. Go to your games over the weekend, then watch everyone's highlights on a Sunday night. I'd even be happy with a BBC 3/4 slot as long as it was a regular slot. It can't do much worse than some of the dross they put on.

I havn't got Sky+ or a video Barry.

The point of this isn't how I personally get to see the show. It's the lack of coverage nationally that I don't agree with. I love my sport, as I write this at work I have got Sky Sports Score Centre on my PC and GMR on the radio. I'm not the kind of Rugby Leaguer who just moans about the game and sits doing nothing. I write e-mails, do petitions, organise things with my clubs fans. I sometimes get the predictable 'we take on board our customers opinions........' Which I expect, but every now and again I get somewhere and my dinner hour at work isn't wasted.

But if you think the Broken Biscuit Company will change their scheduling just to suit a bloke from Leigh who is a bit annoyed that he hasn't got a video or sky plus (as well as seemingly no access to BBC iPlayer) you are in for a big disappointment.

Maybe if you really ask them nicely they could show this programme instead of Eastenders?

I probably will get a 'thankyou for the feedback, go away' e-mail. But I will still try keep trying. I have had tonnes of e-mails like that, but every now and again I get some success, and while i'm getting that success, I won't stop.

I also seem to have a lot more success if I have a petition or a poll with a lot of hits to add weight to my point.

With all due respect Jonny most people are on the internet these days. Yes of course there are exceptions... but not many.


And if you are a Rugby League fan it's fair to say its very likely you will have got Sky seeing as thats the only place you can watch RL these days apart from a few Challenge Cup games.


Although you and I think Rugby League is a great sport we are in the minority in the UK. I know it, you know it... and most importantly in this case... the BBC know it.

This is why they will open your email, send you the usual 'Thank you for your comments' type reply and hit that delete button before scheduling an extra episode of 'Eastenders' or 'Cooking Lentils for pleasure' with John Barrowman

I don't care though. Look at the games today, they sound like fantastic games already, with the only 'true derby' about to start in front of 20k+. I wish I could go home tonight and watch the highlights.

I hate the constantly shifting slot but being fair I always tape it on PVR, or watch it on I-Player. So there's no reason why anyone in the world can't watch it.

I agree the SLS should be on at reasonable time on Sunday and showed nationaly too.

9pm on a Sunday on BBC2 after Top Gear would be nice.

Not at 4pm on Sunday when the majority of games are on.

It seems this week Huddersfield have made up for their lack of coverage on SLS for the last four years!

Indeed, give us speccys south of Yorkshire a chance to watch it too. Today I tried to watch it via the red button but it did not appear, neither did it appear on the bbc site to watch it while being broadcast - so I have to wait until tomorrow pm. Booh! Having to guess when it will be on doesn't help.

The quality AND time slot(s) of the show is a joke.

But give me a usual time where I can see all the games and I'll watch it.
