Doesn’t mean they don’t have ambition because they have a small squad, small fan base and small finances.
I would think Batley’s main ambition is to be consistent, top 4 league finishes, NRC finalists, oh and financially stable.

How insulting! No they may never get that many fans a week, however, you need to visit and watch a match at Mount Pleasant. They have a great stadium and the match day experience is vibrant and a great day out.
Unfortunately, those in SL do not understand that ambition for many clubs below SL, and for some in it, is to survive and make the best of what they have got, while hoping that one day, the rules might change so that the likes of Batley might be allowed a shot at the big time again.
The fact that John Kear is being linked with Batley should tell you something of the ambition of the club, and how far they have progressed over the last three years.

Fantastic coup for Batley if they pull it off. Slowly but surely, over the last 10 years they've been pulling themselves up the 2nd tier and now they're near the top. Long may it continue. Great club, even if they are our bogey side.

Good on Batley.....they're doing great things up at the Mount and nearly turned us over in the cup this year.....maybe a 'big' name like Kear will give them a huge big push towards more success !!

If i was to compare batley to a SL club it would be your , Unfortunately there gates arnt going up like your have which is a shame.
