On Sat 23rd July I set of on a charity walk from Hull to Widnes. Yes, I know its been done, but so has the london marathon and Everest, but not by me!!! The support is growing fantastically and any RL fans in the towns I'm passing through would make my day if they say hello!!!
I'm doing it for 4 charities;
The RL Benevolent Fund
Mental Health Foundation
National Autistic Society
Benguema High School in Freetown Sierra Leone for whom the school I work for (Stretford High School) has a partnership to sustain their regeneration after the civil war. The money raised will go towards the building of a sanitation facility at the school.
Along the way Im taking pictures to make a book capturing the spirit of RL communities. This will be sold to support the effort. I hope to capture the essential feel of what a traditional rugby league town is all about.
The route will be; Hull FC (Sat 23rd at 10am) to Castleford Tigers (Sun aft), to Leeds Rhinos (Mon Lunch), to Bradford Bulls (Mon PM), to Halifax (Tues Lunch), to Oldham (Wed Lunch), to Salford Reds (Thur Lunch), to Warrington Wolves (Fri lunch), to Widnes Vikings (Sat am).
Anyone who wants to walk part of the way with me just come along!!!! There is a charity donation page that can be found here;

I received some lovely messages when I announced this from the RLfans community - so I will post updates each day - probably when my feet are in ice!!!!!
Thank you
