Good draw. Huddersfield are away that weekend too (Hull KR) on the Friday night - hopefully the club get the pricing right, it gets a good gate and we can get a decent amount of cash for Underbank.

Think it's a perfect tie to be honest. Underbank will probably bring a fair following, more than many L1 clubs and it should give us an opportunity to not risk a few senior players and give some of the younger players a run out.

What makes you think we'll give them a 'toweling'. It will probably be a real slog of a match thanks to the weather, the size of the pitch and the state of the playing surface.
I agree that it won't be much of a spectacle but I'm not expecting us to hammer them. I don't have any confidence in this side we've got being able to hammer anybody tbh.

Yep absolutely. But i dont think its unreasonable to suggest there is more chance of a closer game and an upset at Siddal where they will host a League 1 club, rather than at our game.

But our game has all the hallmarks of a Beeb RL game: Two old clubs, one former giant against a plucky amateur side. Every opportunity to get out a brass band with views of dark, satanic mills as a backdrop with someone waxing lyrically about 1895. It's exactly their MO.

BBC Red Button do it all the time. Some of the games that have been shown since it started have been massively one-sided and boring, including the NW Crusaders game in the last round. I'm not sure what criteria they use to pick their games, but I don't think chances of an upset are one of them.

Regardless though, good for supporters of these two teams. And at the end of the day, upsets are called that for a reason.
