Referee: Ben Thaler (Wakefield)

Poor official in the same mould as Ganson and Silverwood.

Who we've not won a game under Thaler since the Bradford Bulls 46-16 Catalan Dragons Challenge Cup game dating back to Sunday 11th May 2008 at Odsal (P6 W0 D1 L5).

This is also the same referee that incorrectly awarded Castleford 12 points in the 40-38 game last year at Odsal, his last game in charge of Bradford and had Stuart Cummings in the T&A the next day saying sorry.

I wonder if he's going to even it up and give us 12 points that we shouldn't have?

No, it's not. It's a deluded obsession that you have with referees. In your world, it matters not who plays on each team, it only matters who the referee is. In fact, why not just scrap the players entirely and just have the referee running around on his own, awarding points to whomever he pleases?

But Thaler was alright on Friday and did the same for both sides although in the first half, he gave Hull FC a penalty for us moving off the mark when the Hull FC player had hold of our player. That was my only gripe with the man in green.

Are you sure about that, Mick? Thaler made the 'not playing the ball correctly' signal, which annoyed me at the time because nobody plays the ball correctly anyway. It's true that he did move off the mark, he wouldn't have been able to play the ball in the correct position anyway as the defender was laying down it at the time!
