| I thought after seeing last Sundays great match how well Sheriffe had played as of course did everyone else, and after watching the highlights felt this was confirmed. Then I read some of the so called 'fans' and they once again are having a go at him. He's supposed to be responsible for the Giants first try, how they make that out I can't imagine. After the last two weeks I thought everyone would have been backing the side, and while I wonder why we couldn't have seen better before, please stop blaming individuals and give praise when they play well.

| Our attack almost always seems to focus its attention on the left hand side, meaning that Sheriffe is hardly ever going to receive a pass that puts him clear unless he comes looking for the ball.
I believe this is because:
1) Nero and Semi are down the left and are probably our most potent attacking force
2) This might seem trivial, but right-handed players will find it easier to pass the ball left rather than right, and so their natural instincts will be to chuck it whichever way is easiest.
If Sheriffe ever gets put clear he'll be tough to catch - his awesome break against Leeds is a perfect example, and again is a break he had to create all by himself.
For the most part, a winger is only as good as the passes he receives. Do you think Ryan Hall would be scoring so many tries if he wasn't on the shoulder of compulsive offloader Keith Senior? Of course not.
That being said, he still needs to work on his defence

I agree with most of that, he started 2 moves which created tries against Huddersfield, and I do believe he's developing into another scapegoat, he's not as bad as he looks, and he's looking better without Sykes there. I'm just worried that if we don't get Millard then Platt may be our centre there next season

| Agreed. I can't understand why Millard or Kearney haven't been announced yet.
I can only assume the process isn't finalised yet, or they're going elsewhere. We wasted no time in announcing Hall and L'Estrange so why delay these ones?
You could well be right with the Platt situation at centre. Or it could simply be a case of Menzies being more effective at Loose and Platt is the only player left who can play centre.
I also find it slightly worrying that Sam is starting from the bench more and more, or it certainly seems that way anyway. Are we prepping ourselves for when he is no longer here?

We might be saving them as some good news for when we can definitely not make the play-offs?
Platt has been doing okay at Centre, but I still wouldn't like him there for a full season. I still think he may be getting tried out there in case there are difficulties getting Millard.
With Sam I think he is just being used as an impact player, and I don't think we should look too much into that. Saints have done this with Graham, Leeds with Peacock, Hudds with Crabtree etc.

| If he had a decent centre outside him Rikki would be a better winger.
I've said this a few times, a better winger next to Sykes would make him a better centre, a better centre next to rikki would make him a better winger. but both together you've average feeding average and it's going to give you average results.
Back to the stats for him:
[url=http://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player.php?season=2009&stat=tackle_busts&hs1=2009&hp1=6&hs2=2009&hp2=923Tackle Busts[/url 8th with 75 (Bradford's top)
[url=http://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics_player.php?season=2009&stat=appears&hs1=2009&hp1=6&hs2=2009&hp2=923Appearances[/url He and Scruton are the only Bradford players to appear in all SL rounds so far

| I think most of the grumbles about Sheriffe this season have been about his defence.

We've also done it ourselves before when we had our "awesome foursome". Fielden was one of the best props in the world and he used to come off the bench for a long time.
As Eddie & Stevo continually say, it's a 17 man game now, not 13. Your bench is just as important as your starting team.

Exactly. Godwin didn't seem to be struggling doing 70 minutes and then Langley became a makeshift Hooker with a little help from Deacs. I think having Godwin and L'Estrange will be a good combo next season, especially judging by Godwin's recent performances. I'm sorry to say -and i'm not saying i'm glad- that Newton's injury may have been a good thing for the club, obviously not for himself, as he has been dire in the second half of the season.

Well no, he wouldn`t struggle doing seventy minutes because he paced himself. It`s like not sprinting when you`re starting a marathon, if you know you`re going to be doing twenty minute spells then you can be more dynamic and put more into it.
