I think their needs to be an immediate positive announcement from the club today, the longer we go without announcing anything the bigger the worry becomes.

I have little doubt the club have known about this for some time and i hope they have a belting card to play otherwise we are on the slippery demise to mediocre rugby and mediocre crowds.

I wish Sam well in his move and hope we see him again on these shores inb a Bulls shirt.

Because the main problem(s) still remains at the club.

Mr Hood should go and take his merry men with him. Hopefully then we can get someone on board that actually has the best interests of the club at heart.

For long enough we have been alienated by untruths from within the club and the fans are being taken for mugs by the current regime. The club seem to believe that our heads all zip up at the back because I doubt that there are too many people who actually believe a word that they say anymore. In fact, what I find completely bemusing is that people actually still want to defend this sham.

Interestingly though, the only positive words that have come out of the club in the last year or so came from the much lauded Mr Medley. Hood and McNamara again show their incompetence.

Well it is really sad that Sammy is leaving. I look forward to seeing him come back in 5 years time when Macca will be leading the products of our youth development to SL glory!

Fact is the current regime have stedied the ship financially and allowed us not to fold..........We couldnt continue in the vain we had in the past FACT we dont have a big spending chairman behind the club FACT...yes their has sometime been a communication issue between the club and fans but at the moment it seems with you the club are damned if they do and damned if they dont.

Sam was always going to AUS and would you rather we lost him for nowt next year? as i said i hope the club have some positive from this and i hope it will be announced soon otherwise their may be problems....

1. And how exactly would you find this mystic messiah, and persuade him to come "on board"? And persuade him to give loads of his time for free, doubtless his own money, and to put up with all the barrage of criticism and abuse that his predecessor has had to? As I keep saying, its easy to keep pointing out what you think is wrong, but a bit harder to come up with a practicable solution. Remember, Hood himself pleaded publicly at inception for someone to do precisely this. Don't think we had any crowds beating a path to his door.

2. What proof or justification do you have for your allegation that Hood does not have the best interest of the club at heart? If not the club's best interest, then whose? Given he works for free, has his own business interests which are hardly furthered by his involvement with the Bulls, and can hardly relish all the vitriol he is receiving. And, having met the guy a few times and sat round a board-level meeting table with him, this isn't an egotist who thrives on public attention.

3. Given Hood has only something like 7% of the shares (from memory), and last time I looked Caisley still held around 27% and other directors like Jack Bates brought the sum of Caisley plus directors to just over 50%, Hood is hardly in the chair because of any shareholding or financial clout he has. So therefore he must be in the chair because he was seen as the best man for the job. How would you propose addressing that situation?

I hold no brief for Hood or anyone else. And I'm as concerned as the next man. But equally, I believe in the art of the practicable, not just in the mystic magic wand which can simply be waved to solve all the problems.

What the Club need now is some seriously positive PR Management. We need to be hearing positive stories and good news on a regular basis. The last thing we want to hear is we've signed some more Journeymen Players for next year. Positive PR will be money well spent!

For all the people blaming the clube here, again I say, what do you think they should have done? Lots of complaints, no answers.

2. You have evaded the question (again). Your public eagerly awaits your wisdom and sage advice on how we set about identifying, persuading and then bringing on board the mystic messiah you so clearly believe in.

You know 100% full well that there is no "new broom" (by which you mean someone, anyone, with unfeasibly large pots of money, most of which they improbably want to pour into the Bulls).

You offer no "solutions" other than sacking everyone. 100% from Hood down to the tealady. You want the entire lot sacked. the coaches are crap, the players are crap, the board is crap.

Indeed. As I said earlier, it doesn't require a lot of brainpower to just complain. Rather more to actually fix the problem.

And nobody in any sport ever has, or ever will solve the problem of a major player who wants away. Not even the behemoth that is Man United could keep Ronaldo when he decided he wanted to go.

Good luck to Sam and the Rabbitohs for next year. I'm sure he'll do them proud and I can see we didn't have a lot of cards to play, other than to cash in whilst there was still the opportunity to do so.

Particularly as it was Adey that told us only an idiot would announce losing Burgess without being able to give us some good news at the same time (let's hope that's coming today or tomorrow) and it was FA that was towing the line that the Bulls hadn't even heard from Souths up until minutes before it was announced! At the very least it's not been particularly well handled on the PR front.

I'm afraid I also fear that the squad and coach we have now is most likely to mean lower table rugby for at least next year and probably beyond that with the attendant impact upon crowds which combined with increasing overheads will further effect recruitment. I just hope that's not the downward spiral it has started to look like.

It would be hard for anyone to make good the loss of a good proportion of the playing rota and an influx of new players in the first year, so no doubt we'll hear the plausible excuse that they have to gel etc wheeled out early next year. Unfortunately we waited three years for the team that Mac built to come good, which never quite happened, and now he's dismantled that team and is starting again. I can't say that his previous record on recruitment, selection and performance would convince me he's likely to succeed.

Meanwhile whilst i accept Hood might be the best of a bad job and there's not a rush of others coming forward, at least not with the finances available to them, it does strike me that things could be better managed. I suppose it doesn't help that we have a large shareholder who seems to think there's no conflict of interests in him acting as an agent for our best player(s).

As for all the stuff about what's the alternative, well without knowing more about the relationships between directors, organisational structure, management style, finances, PR operation etc etc it would be a bit difficult. But it's a lame argument just to say you can't criticise because you don't have a fully worked out alternative.

At the moment things look shaky, we have finished outside of the playoffs for the first time in SL, we've got rid of a good proportion of the playing rota, sold arguably our best player, crowds are down and the club is either unable or reluctant to tell us the way ahead is in anything other than youth and the status quo. Given that other teams also have good youth set ups and the status quo has already driven a fair number of people away it's hardly surprising there's some criticism and anger.

My own guess is that the hostility towards ME etc is partly a way of expressing similar frustrations with the club which seems intent on defying even the learned expectations of Adey, FA, AF etc.
