For what it's worth, I agree with you about cakewalks but I suspect a few are going to underestimate the advantage of full-time training. Not that it matters one jot how much any fans under, or over, estimate anything, since I can't really see any players doing so.

I've said earlier I very much hope other teams [ido[/i see us as 'the team to beat' as this should lead to higher intensity games in the early part of the season, which would be a great boost for the middle eights, where this intensity is going to be needed.

A team of full time pros should not be losing games to part timers.

For example, in this season's Challenge Cup there were 9 games which saw a SL team take on a lower league team. In all 9 games the SL team won. There were 12 such matches in 2013, with the same result. 12 again in 2012 with 1 victory for the lower league team. So out of 33 games, there was 1 win for the lower league team.
