| From our pov, the Catalans away game just needs to be on a weekend adjacent to a school holiday - Easter, Spring bank or summer, I'm not too bothered.

Same here for me, each season I await the fixtures with the slim hope I will be able to travel to France

I see that it is being held in May again. Hopefully it won't be against Leeds again.

| Don't get me started on the Magic Weekend...
We'll no doubt be playing the SL champions once again whilst teams like Wakefield play the likes of Cas.

| Hmm dunno why you all don't want Leeds :/ We played Crusaders and lost :/ Wakey and Cas are even you never know who's gunna win. Tbh in the Bradford vs Leeds games you never know who's gunna win. Us on Good Friday? Leeds at MW when we took a decent lead. Leeds away was close till errors crept into our play.

| Might be something to do with a fact that we've never beaten Leeds at Magic weekend. But I just have an issue with teams not playing each other the same amount of times in the regular season. But just my view and the reason I decide to watch the games at home on tv rather than travel like usual.

| They should do a cup style draw for the Magic Weekend in my opinion. Do it on the Friday evening then no one knows who they're facing 'til the last minute.

I guess you could say that it "must be our turn", given that our record (especially when you don't include 'Magic' matches) is quite reasonable. Like most honest Bulls' fans I'd have to accept that when looking down the squad lists it appears to be a one sided match, but in general we've hit above our weight in recent years and results don't really bear out that one-sided assumption, and to be honest, I always feel we're in with a chance against the Rhinos.

How would you know which day to buy a ticket for?
I am all for random draws though. The way it is now is a joke. And a disgrace.

| What is the point having random draws? It would be crap. It's called the MAGIC weekend. Look what happened when we didn't do derbies? It was a crap 2 weekends. Honestly except Sykes scoring 3 tries against Wakefield in 2009 what else happened in those 2 weekends? Nothing. We got nilled by Crusaders and Sammut took the mick out of us. Playing Leeds on the Magic Weekend's is a great thing. Yeah we haven't been as good but we always step up against them. Dodgy decisions is what has decided some of the games in the past. It's a great weekend with the derbies and even if you don't go there are usually 4 really good intense derbies and another 3 pretty decent games mixed inbetween them

Think your missing problem people have with the derby fixtures. If it was a standalone weekend that didn't count for league points then no problem with the derbies. Agree that the derbies create a better spectacle.
But as it stands it counts for league points and as such it isn't fair that some clubs have to play a team who finished in opposite half of table to them perfect examples are us v Leeds and wire v widnes. Gives Leeds and wire a advantage at top half of table over sts and Wigan who play each other and puts us and widnes at a disadvantage against teams at our end of table egg wakes and cas. If difference between us making playoffs or not came down to 2 pts dropped at magic then you can see how it skews table. Either make it some sort of seeded draw based on previous years finishing positions or make it a random draw so everyone has an equal chance of getting an easier/ tougher game each year.

Never really understood the over excitement of the fixture release. Everyone plays the same number of games home and away, and [uwe generally (rightly or wrongly) get to play Leeds at the "Magic" weekend.[/u
With the excpetion of the Catalans away game (given the required plans to get there) all the others pale into relative normality.
My guess:
Leeds h/a on Good Friday followed by Wakey h/a on Easter Monday
Leeds h/a sometime in July'"
Not in 2013

I do see where your coming from. It's just as a Magic Weekend it should be derbies. I understand that Wire may get a slight advantage but I personally think it adds to the table. Imagine if this year we had Leeds and we beat them at MW which meant we finished 8th and Leeds 9th. But without that win Leeds would finish 8th and we would be 9th? It's an exciting weekend and is a great weekend. I do understand your point though But again look what happened when we had a seeded draw in 2009/2010. It was 2 poor weekends. Best part was Sammut's try

| That would be fair enough if it stood as a seperate fixture outside the league table but it doesn't. Doesn't matter as we don't have Leeds this year

| If these fixtures are going to count towards league standings then they should be based on exactly that - the league standings. Having 1st v 2nd, 3rd v 4th etc would make for close games that actually meant something right across the board of fixtures.
Basing the games on 'derbies' doesn't work because not every team has a derby fixture in the true sense. In my opinion there are really only 4 true derbies in our league and the rest just end up playing who is left.
Having wigan playing saints and wire playing widnes is nothing short of an absolute farce.

From Wigan forum.
Also Hull FC forum says their first fixture is Leeds away.

Wakey at home, then Hull FC away according to the T&A'"
The list in the T&A are not in any particular order. First game could be either Wakey at home or Hull FC away.
My guess would be:
Round 1
Bradford Bulls v Wakefield Wildcats
Hull KR v Catalan Dragons
Salford City Reds v Wigan Warriors
Warrington Wolves v Castleford Tigers
Leeds Rhinos v Hull FC (Sky Opening Game)
Huddersfield Giants v London Broncos
Widnes Vikings v St Helens
Round 2
Wakefield Wildcats v Hull KR
Catalan Dragons v Salford City Reds
Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves (Sky)
Castleford Tigers v Leeds Rhinos
Hull FC v Bradford Bulls
London Broncos v Widnes Vikings
St Helens v Huddersfield Giants (Sky)
