You're right he's a centre really. There was talk some time back about us getting Qareqare on a years loan from Cas. I wonder if that is still possible? The A J transfer saga may have scuppered that.

Miller was reputed to be really quick when he signed but he never really showed much. Didn't seem to have a rugby brain to work with the pace. Hopefully we can get a better winger replacement that Blackmore.

If Millar is going I would like to see Tai (if he signs) in the centre and a decent winger brought in. Tindall on a years loan would be good.

Whilst I think Appo is a quality signing for the Championship, I'm a bit concerned we seem to have a lot of back row options.

With Appo signing and the suggestion that AJ Wallace is also now staying, I make that 8 back row forwards.

Yet we have hardly any options at centre or on the wing.

Squad quality looks much better but the balance looks all wrong.

App is a prop

Appo is primarily a second rower or occasional loose forward.

At the moment we only have Blackmore and DFJ confirmed for next year. Kyle Evans would be great, he looked good in world cup and AFAIK Wakefield have not re-signed him.

On the imbalance in the squad I guess you could say we're not done recruiting yet so let's see where we are in January/February. We do seem to be loving the backrow forwards though.

NRL.com lists Appo as a second rower. As does the PNG Hunters section on QRL.COM where he's listed as playing all his matches in 2022 at second row or loose forward. He's not a prop.

I'd imagine Lawrence and Thompson will both play prop for us this year.

Lawrence will definitely. Think the prop situation is worthy of a thread of its own.
