Bradford might be the big draw to themselves certainly not me, looking forward to the games against Fax and Leigh much more, as for the biggest following we will see with the contract money there dishing out I can see them going bust again see what there followings are like then. Bradford nothing special to me they certainly wernt that special when we rammed a record score past them in the 73 cup final, problem is there new fans wont even know they used to be called Northern and went bust also in the 60s and the tiny little pit team Featherstone got them going again by giving them players. This honourable gesture was returned in 96 by there then leader mr Caisley who famously stuck the blade into Rovers stating he didn't want that team (fev) mentioned in the same breath as the bulls. Your right Mr Caisley we pay our bills. Sorry I have no time for Bradford and am not alone will give me great delight when Rovers stick it up them 1st March

Record is Widnes v Salford in 2008 it was 8189. LSV has had bigger crowds than that.

I recall just what a lovely club you had back in the day when I was a little lad and my dad came back from post operative Road covered in blood.
Ysee feath lads liked to think they were soccer fans and cornered my dad and uncle and beat the hell out of them.
Your spewing rant of a post suggests you still have it in you.

Calm down love.....Bradford are THE team to beat in our league, but I am not expecting us (Leigh) to beat anyone just because they are part time. Gingdong, look forward to the challenge of playing Bradford/London & full time Leigh, rather than be all bitter/bitchy about it. To be fair, if I was a Bulls/Bronos fan, I would expect my team to be in the top 2. Bring it on...can't wait !!!!

Arrogance like that will be your down fall,'"
I don't think it is arrogant to suggest that we're one of the clubs that will attract the most media interest given our recent success and then fall from grace. Despite struggling throughout 2014 on the pitch we continued to get reasonable attendances, so I would expect our crowds will be big in comparison to most in the Championship.
I certainly don't expect an easy ride in the Championship next year, we're heading into a bit of an unknown and face two of the more established teams in our first few games. I suspect a section of our support are expecting we will come straight back up, I'm not so confident if I'm honest given the odds are stacked against that. I don't think we can sustain the level of investment we've made on and off the pitch for too long in the Championship though so if we don't manage it at the first attempt the hurdle will become greater IMO.

Well I know that isn't true because Hull have never been in the lower division since the late 70's when they went through unbeaten. They finished 2nd bottom in the late 90's / 2000 but never got relegated. Hull KR were in the lower leagues.
I think the record is Cas v Hull KR (or it maybe Widnes) which drew nearly 9000. It was a few years ago though. The Widnes v Salford game used to be the record.
SO - LSV can hold that comfortably. Unfortunately, there will be a few thousand dissappointed people in PO Road.
Irrespective, there should be a bumper crowd to see us take on the Bulls.

"Record" in what sense? the highest score in a 1973 Cup Final? Your knowledge of facts is about on a par with your spelling. And yes, it was a very workaday Northern team, which miraculously somehow made Wembley, and were on a hiding to nothing against a half-decent Featherstone team, so it was hardly anything for you to crow about now was it? At least we got more points than you did the following yeat when Wire whupped you! Don't see you referring to that, oddly.
Quote ="gingdong"problem is there new fans wont even know they used to be called Northern and went bust also in the 60s'"
Why is that a "problem"? Although I'd bet most actually know only too well the story of the 60s and our saviour Trevor Foster, as it happens.

What a breathtakingly stupid parallel to draw! WTF has any remark by Caisley - who has few friends on here - remotely to do with the 1964 reformation? You had to wait 32 years to find one remark by an ex-chairman that you could whinge about? Do you even know how petty and stupid that is?
Quote ="gingdong" Sorry I have no time for Bradford and am not alone will give me great delight when Rovers stick it up them 1st March'"
It should give any fan of any team great delight when his team sticks it up the opposition so I can't understand why you threw that in. You however are a nasty piece of work. You "have no time" for Bradford because of one remark you say one ex-chairman once made, in the space of 50 years? You sound like a you've some huge chip on your shoulder, and are just looking for trouble for no reason, to be honest. Back in yer box.

On your planet it may have been. Meanwhile back on our planet the record was set in 2008 (Widnes 20-18 Salford) - 8,189. Will you be calling in from Planet Shoite for the Bulls game?

| The Cas HKR game was a Northern Rail Match (9400), so the 8189 stands at Widnes.
With good promotion, there is no reason why we cant have a go at that !!
To be realistic, I expect 5-6000

| You know the season cannot be too far away when FA starts his training programme, though you could have chosen a bit of a tougher friendly as your first run out FA. How about an away match at Wakefield next???

Of course you'll have an advantage. You'll be on roughly equal terms with London and Leigh, but it will not be the cake walk some of your fans think when you have to vist us, Halifax, Doncaster, Sheffield, Dewsbury and even Batley.
You will lose some of these games, the semi pro teams will see you very much as the team to raise their game for.
Really looking forward to our first encounter, third game in. You could well still be finding your feet in this league and we will be well up for it. Hope to see you all filling our new stands.

I don't think any reasonable Bulls fan believes next season will be a "cake Walk" but given that Leigh won 26 from 27 the season just gone i'd be surprised if we lose to any of the teams mentioned above.
