You're right about that. I didn't even know there was another version and every time I've heard it I've assumed it was Sam the Sham. |

I had it on 7" vinyl from nineteenseventyblah. I just assumed it was Eddie & the Hot Rods as it sounds just like it to me. Even the sample on itunes doesn't convince me otherwise. |

Having now listened to the Eddie and the Hot Rods samples myself, I'm afraid I draw the opposite conclusion to you - none of the 4 sounds to me much like what we play at the match. The Sam the Sham version, on the other hand, sounds spot on. |
