| Newcastle will be a much tougher prospect than Skolars but I don't think Milnes did much wrong last week so deserves to keep his place IMO.
Now is the ideal few weeks to give him a go considering the opposition.

| I'd stick with the same combinations as last weekend. This will be a tougher game with a more intense atmosphere where he (Rowan) will be able to play under pressure.
Unfortunately I can't make the game so will be watching on Proper Sport. COYB!

| The best scenario this season is to get promoted and blood the youngsters ready for next season where it will be much tougher. Leave him at half back from the start and see how he grows from week to week.

| For me:
Pickersgill
Ryan
Smith
Gibson
Grant
Milnes
Chisholm
Crossley
Hallas
Kirk
Garside
Laithwaite
Minchella
Flanagan
Peltier
Bustin
Wood/Milton
Kirk and Crossley to hammer their middle and allow for the barnstorming Peltier and Bustin later with Flanagan tearing them apart on the back of that. Minchella at 13 so we have a ball player there to help out young Milnes, and give us another option should Milnes have a quiet game.

| Well it's certainly been a step up from the teams we've played recently. Not been helped by Bradford being very sloppy with the ball in hand.
If it was throwing it down, you might be able to forgive the number of handling errors this evening. But it's a beautiful evening so you just think that Kear will be hoping for half time so he can get the lads in and get them to calm it down

| Not sure how we're ahead at HT with the amount of errors. Sure Kear will be into them at HT about it. When we're near the line we score. Just got to keep hold of the ball and we should win. Look a decent outfit Newcastle.

| The two points main thing. Newcastle deserve a heap of credit extremely lively. Lewis young and Theerapol Ritson have been very very good for them

| I think that might be our worst performance of the season. God knows what our completion rate and error count was.
Rescued by a couple of moments of individual skill there, but there was absolutely no cohesion from us as a group of players whatsoever.

| Very scrappy game but we’ve got the 2 points. Another lacklustre performance. Thunder never gave up and could have pinched it. Brandon Pickersgill & Ethan Ryan were immense tonight.
Great atmosphere!

| If that is the best we can play under perfect conditions then we are going to struggle. There are some players in that team who need to take a real good look at themselves. And I would suggest John kear ups the anti in training too

| I watched the game on Proper Sport tonight very painful viewing. Sam Hallas saying him and Wood rested tonight, there could be a few more "rested" next week. But as someone has said it's another two points.

Think that's a bit strong. I didn't see the first two tries, so can't comment if they were soft but after that we defended brilliantly. Was more a concentration thing or trying too hard that led to the errors. It certainly wasn't lack of effort. As Northus said, we didn't look that cohesive but that was because we didn't have the ball for any sustained amount of time. Was always going to be a tricky game and Newcastle threw the kitchen sink at us and we've come away with the win. Was impressed by Newcastle, good line speed and very aggressive. Another win ticked off.

| Was impressed with Newcastle. As a friend said afterwards they're the best team we've played in the league this season other than York.

| Not the best performance but we still got the win.
I’m sure York weren’t great against Hunslet a couple of weeks back when they only won 28-26. We beat Hunslet comfortably.
It goes to show that there are some decent teams in the division who are capable of raising their game and if they catch you on an off day then a defeat can happen. York probably didn’t complain too much after getting the win and we shouldn’t either. The disparity between the top and bottom teams is massive and there is a danger of thinking you should hammer everyone because of large scores against the bottom teams.
If you cut out the large number of uncharacteristic handling errors from last nights performance the score line would probably have been a lot larger.
Defensively we were pretty sound and in attack I’m sure we’d look a bit more fluent if you add back in two of our first choice spine in McNally and Keyes. Pickersgill and Milnes are doing well but you have to keep in mind that they are still young kids.
We achieved the objective of 2 points from what many called a potential banana skin before the match and for that reason i’m happy.
I’m sure York will suffer an unexpected defeat at some point against a top 8 side who catch them when they aren’t at their best.

Nail on head Ethan Ryan made two try saving tackles, Pickersgill looks another excellent academy product in the making but I would add Chisholm IMO ran the game from S/O scored a try created another and kicked all but one goals.

Agreed, though the one thing we failed to defend all match was the off-load and a better side would have killed us last night. If I remember correctly Newcastle have a strong record at home, so any win there is something to be pleased with, even though we certainly never showed the sort of fluency we'd maybe hoped for. That said,it's difficult when teams are coming in 'hell for leather' and whilst I don't think Thunder were an outstanding team they have some solid individual players, are well coached and certainly didn't die wondering.
Thought we had a number of good, gritty rather than classy, performances and, of course, a wins always win, and no doubt, we'll have many more teams like Newcastle to beat so we'll need to be on our mettle. Onwards and upwards.

They were lively although its easy to see why Adam Brook never really got a look in thought he was a bit wayward in what he did. Lewis Young though was very lively love to see halfbacks who engage the line. That said Chisholm is slowly getting back, he suffered a horrendous injury and it will take time probably the best surface he played on and he showed glimpses of the magic he has. Another few weeks with Keyes back they will be tearing teams a new one coming into the better weather

| There full back is the best I have seen since mossy... .McNally when fit???? Isn't as quick and elusive as him.. as for Chisholm yes his injury was bad.. but come on he should be ripping it up in this league.. he is a league or 2 better than this... isn't he ?????,

| As for that laithwaite I can fully understand why he has been shipped out... maybe needs a few weeks exercise on trying to bend his back... from that drop out all he had to do was fall on the ball... I would have had him straight off.. If we hadn't got any better than him.. then Chalmers needs to open the bank book
