Given that Huddersfield are no mugs these days I wouldn't be heart-broken if we were to lose. But I definately want to see an encouraging opening performance to put the 2009 gloom to bed.

I fancy the Bulls for this one. McNamara will be itching to start the season well, whilst Huddersfield may not be mentally prepared for the new-look Bulls given the alleged pre-season disruption.

Can't see the Bulls being complacent after last season either.

Should be really tough bu ti think Bulls by 6 points and the new boys hopefully play well.

It's only the 1st game which I understand, What I mean by a must win game for both clubs is if either wants to be challenging either Leeds or Saints then it's a game that needs to be won.

Clubs like Warrington have bought well IMO and this league is gonna be tight at the business end of the season, the more dropped points the harder it becomes.

With it being one of the first matches of the season the performance or preparation of the teams is likely to be of secondary importance to the main issue the REFEREE.

I reckon the team that will win will be the one who adapts the quickest to whatever interpretations the referee is working too.

It is always the same at the begining of the season. Loads of penalties, the ref targeting one particular thing ( whilst ignoring everything else) and both teams looking confused. Whoever deals with that the best will win.

In all seriousness, I know what you're saying. Hopefully the fact that there's two games this week before ours, means any obvious interpretation changes will be noticed in those.

Think we'll buck our trend of being crap in front of the sky cameras and hopefully just edge what could be a good close game with our division 2 hooker scoring the winning try and 1 of our average props putting in a MOM performance.
