He's gone. According to Duffy he was wanting to be sent on loan again but no club wanted him. Skolars rated Pickersgill apparently.

Ah, I thought I had read something on here about it! Just wasn't sure! Hmm, never saw him play to be honest but would have been an extra body next season. They rated Pickersgill? Hopefully that means he's suited to League One rugby because I'm yet to be convinced, hopefully a good pre-season and friendlies will boost his confidence.

I've long thought that most of the people who put money into running lower division teams, soccer, RL or union, are usually doing it as local people hoping for local kudos and to 'look good' within their very local communities. If it's the local butcher, baker or candlestick maker then there may be an element of their name being bandied about slightly more often than it might have been, but certainly there is little else that would be, even remotely, tangible.

I see potential in Pickersgill. Yes he's dropped a few kicks and missed a few tackles but remember Ethan Ryans first game? Dropped a kick then following set missed a simple 1 on 1. Pickersgills been on a hiding to nothing alone at the back. He's got a decent turn of pace. A run of games and i think he'll be ok.

How would you split the FT/PT players up if you were calling the shots?

All current junior first teamers like, Oakes/Ryan/Wilkinson/Pickersgill etc on FT?

Then with a sprinkling of experience as part timers?

Some of those, and a few others, are likely to be gone anyway (Oakes, Ryan etc plus some senior players) and we'll have new players coming in that we don't yet know about, so it's more than a bit hard to consider that to be honest. The one thing I'd hope is that the full and part timers come together for at least one full ball work and tactical session per week. I guess the weights can be done anytime and even alone if necessary, though banter does make up a great deal of team spirit.

Do we have any chance of keeping Ryan and Co? If not then we may as well just go part time.

Many of them do need to go - even some of the bigger names.
It was interesting to hear that in the D1 meeting with the RFL they were told that there will be a Ch. and D1 restructure for 2018.
Some Championship chairmen are worried about HKR and Bulls moving out of that division as they said it is worth £80k to each club - and there will be too many games with no away fans.

We are relegated but will we actually get there. I am expecting a lot of news to start coming out of Odsal and Red Hall in a couple of weeks when the games are finished.

Mind you, I have heard from a very good source that the RFL have investigated the game where Foxy had 14 players on the field for 30 seconds in November 1978 and that the tea lady has been putting double the tea bags into the pot this year to give the lads a boost and we are definitely starting next season with an 18 points deduction.

Thats my worry.
