| Well that was a good way to continue the 'feel good' factor that's going around the club. The pre-season is off to a positive start and it was good to see most of the new signings. That was the first time we've put 50 past a team at home since Toulouse Olympique in the cup in 2008(I think)?
Like most people have said we got off to a slow start but turned it round in the second 40. It was always going to be a case of our fitness levels being the difference and the gulf in class began to show in final 20 minutes when we put 40 unanswered points past them.
The stand out performers for me were...
Chev Walker - Good to see him returning from that bad injury. Looks like he has a point to prove. Maybe a little too eager in places but a lot of potential.
Marc Herbert - Lead us round the field well throughout the second half and was our biggest attacking threat. It's too early to tell but he good be a fantastic signing. Nice little kicking game as well.
Craig Kopczak - Looks fitter, faster and tougher. Hit the line hard and never took a backward step. This could be the year that he reaches his potential. Big year ahead.
Heath L'Estrange - Started off where he finished last year. Always eager and creates a lot of attacking threats. His enthusiam is fantastic.
John Bateman - Bursting on to the scene hopefully. His work on the flanks today was brilliant for someone so young. One to watch.
Other mentions go to Ah Van, Addy, Whitehead & Lynch who all had solid performances.
It's very early doors and obviously these opinions are based on one outing against a side that play part time Rugby a division lower then us. With that in mind, I still think we did fairly well and most of the supporters will go away happy seeing a dominant Bradford side take apart their local rivals.
Finally, well done to Jamie Langley on reaching his Testimonial.

Just in & that's a pretty good critique of todays game.
Really enjoyed it today - a good measure of attractive rugby, at long last, played at pace.
Leeds coaching influence very evident in our new, speedier, flat passing game plus players running in from good angles all over the park.
"Harry" Potters choice of recruits looks first class with our own youngsters, as reported by others, excelling on the day
Bring it on - the good times could maybe, just maybe, coming back - COYB

| made a change to see a bulls side throwing the ball around today, a welcome change.
thought bateman, herbert and kopczak were excellent. good to see using royston with the short balls as fax did. will score plenty of tries doing that as he ghosts through defences on them.
but for a SL side must get that sound system or lack of sorted. could hear nothing on the terrace.

We only use a sound system once the regular season is underway. The tanoy system is then no longer used.

The speakers are situated around the Speedway track and thus all the cabling would have to be run. I'm not sure if the club hire the equipment or if they own it, but either way not really worth the cost for a pre season friendly with no pre match entertainment. You only missed two announcements concerning Halifax though, so you didn't miss much.

| Suprisingly I was very impressed with the workrate of Ian Sibbitt in the first half. He worked very hard in defence. I'd love to see his tackle count for that first period.
I also thought that Addy was very good, Herbet looked calm and composed. Not spectacular, but certainly the organiser that I had hoped he would be.
I'm hoping that when we play Dewsbury we'll see a bit more of the young lads. I'd like to see more of O'brien, Bateman, McAvoy and Burgess. With a bit of luck a couple of them might get dual registered with championship clubs this year.

Out of interest, were you one of the many many fools stood on the terraces that didn't applaud Jamie Langley when he was introduced? I looked over as he came out and saw a large majority of Fax fans on the terracing stood still. Which I found highly disrespectful. Regardless of who the player is and who he plays for, would it have been so much for them all to applaud the man whose testimonial it was?
Thankfully some were doing and certainly most in the stand were. Sharp contrast to Matt Diskin's last year, when majority of our fans were applauding, despite him at the time being a Rhino.

| Wonder why they stood on the terrace, and complained about...well pretty well everything, it seems, when they could all have come in the stand and had a decent view AND heard the high-tech state of the art tannoys?
