| Quote ="neilgreenwood"Reason for fax not taking a massive following to the slum. Tip of a ground with no cover to stand under in rain.
Lots of fans don't like going there and putting money into the coffers of a club who keep living beyond their meens and will probably go bust again at end of season.
Such good sortsmanship from your wonderful fans ( booing a player who has broken his cheekbone) real class
Enjoy life at the bottom. It's always nice to beat you.
Funny how every time we beat you and that's been quite a few times over last couple of seasons you have an excuse for the lose. Never that fax where the better team like Last night.
See you at the shay (a proper ground) later in the season when we beat you again. Wonder what excuses you will come up with next time must be running out of them
'"
You are only not in a slum because of the council and FC Halifax. the football club paid their share of the East stand development and after all your scummy lot promised paid nothing then didnt pay rent. I work with a guy who is an FC Halifax fan and he has paperwork requested showing what each put into it. Hope they end up locking yous out permanently

| Quote ="Ewwenorfolk"At least this one can write (but can't spell). I don't think it can read though as multiple posters (myself included) have stated that Halifax deserved the win. That doesn't mean we can't comment on the quality of either side or the players we didn't have available.
Using the ground as an excuse not to attend is poor - if you really had enough interest in your team then you turn up and watch.'"
I did attend and allways will follow the mighty blue m whites but it's a fact many fax fans hate that dump of a ground and won't go there,my dad included.
Anyway I'm a very happy fax fan this morning no matter what you think of our performance and your excuses -again for losing.

| Another frustrating and disappointing game, but comparing what both teams did, Fax were comfortably better.
The main reasons for this are because they had 3/4 of the field position, number of reasons for that but the end result is you spend most of the game trying to get away from your own line, this leads to fatigue, which degrades performance, support play and decision making.
It's no shock of course as everyone including owners knows full well we simply don't have enough grunt available and if one thing kills us this season then it will be that.
Fatigue probably also plays a part in a secondary reason, that is persisting in pis.sing away possession through inexcusable mistakes and bad discipline. Not as bad as some games but still just not good enough, some of the basic errors really make you cringe, and sadly you pretty much know when we will cough it up, if not exactly how. Leon was especially guilty of a couple of great attacking positions being pis.sed away.
Another secondary reason is our embarrassing inability to deal with high kicks and kicks into space. Mercifully Fax hadn't done their homework on this and the bombs were limited but its like nobody wants any ball in the air, so all leave it to someone else.
I will add that despite the above, we could easily have won, if we hadn't managed to literally three times lose the ball in the act of scoring - two pretty much under the posts. That's different, you've done the hard work, and on another night you ground the ball and in. Would've been very hard on a workmanlike Fax team but if a couple of those had been 6 pointers then likely we would've pinched the win.

Again, no excuses - not sure where you are getting this from? The better team won on the day, but you should have done better against a very young and inexperienced side.
I hate Belle Vue but still go there when I have to. The championship would be better off if people like your dad just sucked it up and went to games.

Good point about the high balls.
At the moment kick offs and bombs make me extremely nervous. No excuses for that when we have a team of FT professionals.

I don't see excuses. We blew it. Simple as. Too many basic errors to put ourselves under pressure. Fax were average. You must know that. You did enough to grind out a win but you can't be happy with your performance surely? A top four side should be putting 50 past us.

Yeah, Anita, I agree the young lads should improve over the season - but not if they are used as permanent frontline players every week - particularly in the forwards and more particularly the props. As it is, some of them are being used as the mainstay of the side and it surely can't be right to heap all that responsibility onto their young shoulders. We have too many in the side at the same time and they will need a break, so we certainly can't go on all season as we are. The squad is too small - simple as, imo.

Not been named in your 19. Only Evalds as a dual reg player in there.
(Although on second view, there's only 18 names in there. Maybe you've signed Dane Chisholm too)

Good afternoon whinging woolie bullies. Long time no speak.
I'm afraid 14 consecutive seasons of championship rugby has put a dent in the once mighty Fax's support, but still jolly humbling that you bullies perceive Fax as being a big club
As for the "missing thousand" travelling Fax army maybe dusting down their shirts for a "big local derby"? Hmmmmm ..... maybe by the same token you bullies should be asking the same of the "missing 10,000" home fans, eh? Just a thought

| The tactics halifax used worked a treat. As people keep saying you have no forwards, so you got steam rolled along with Murrells excellent game management.
I'll take a win over the bulls any day no matter how its done.
Bottom line a full time squad no matter the ages lost.
The most experienced player super Leon, the bulls saviour might as well not been on the pitch. What a waste of money he has been

| Thought our lack of experience and forward power was the difference. Fax came with a simple gameplan and executed if prefectly.
We never built pressure like Fax did and so lost the energy battle. Had we held the ball it might have been a different story. Just about every player cocked up at some point. Some utterly lauaghable mistakes. We really shouldn't be making errors from kick offs.
Frustrating thing is that despite all the mistakes and ill discipline we weren't far off. The Fax defence was better than any we've come up against so far. If we'd only give ourselves a chance.
Thought Leon was a passenger really. The sooner we get this Chisholm business sorted the better. Thought young Hodgson went well in the pack considering hes just 18. Kirk did ok too.

What a load of nonsense. So a team of 18/19/20 year olds, full time or not, have the physical strength to compete with 25/30 year old experienced old forwards? The fact that we ran you so close, is more testament to how good they are going to be in a few years rather than how good you are.
Leon is not fit, but we have no other players. But interesting that you know how much he is getting paid. Care to share?

We all know those missing 10,000 were dissatisfied Huddersfield and Blue Sox fans that we poached from you. We must assume the Hudds fans have gone back now that they have experienced some success, the worry must be where are the missing exFax-exBulls-exFax fans?

Thoroughly detestable human being. Really wish he wasn't any good, but unfortunately he seems to always play well against us and has been the difference on more than one occasion. Up there with the Ben Cockaynes of the world when it comes to personality though.

Really disagree with this (am not a Fax or Bulls fan btw). Murrell is one of the opposition players I like the most, I think he's a good guy and one with a definite sense of humour. Yes it's irritating as an opposition fan when he starts pounding his fists when there's a knock on but if it was for our own side we'd be loving it.
He's as slow as a tractor mind, and I think even Fax fans would tell you that. But he's a smart player.

I wouldn't be loving it if it was my team. In fact, it's one thing I don't like about Chisholm as I think he has a touch of the same thing (although not as much). I know most of the game's best halves all have a touch of the kn0bhead about them, but it still doesn't make me like it. Murrell has never come across as anything other than that to me.
I won't ever question his ability as a player though, I think someone with his skills would have made a massive difference to our team in the last couple of years especially. Sadly, he's been our undoing instead.
