me too, but that's the thing; spending to push for promotion offers absolutely no guarantees, and not even a likelihood. It might be a long time before there's another Leigh and who knows what crackpot scheme will be next. Whereas the spending that could have reasonably comfortably assured our survival would have been very considerably less. So much less, I don't understand why anyone would gamble our chances on hoping we scrape by by a couple of points against the next worse team.

Larroyer definitely has a recall clause as Cas were in the press saying they may exercise it over Easter. Thankfully they didn't.

Every deal is down to the clubs really. There aren't a lot of actual rules on what you can or can't agree, except for the month minimum without a recall bit. Season long loans can be with or without recall clauses. I can't really ever blame a club for putting a recall clause in, as at the end of the day he's their player and if they need him back, they should be allowed to use him. If a club opts against putting a recall clause in, that suggests they think the player is surplus to requirements, at least for that season.

The strong feeling that the Bulls are in the RFL plans for the restructured set up they will bring in. Many journalists have been saying this for some time that we will not go down. I said a month or two ago that if reassurances were given to our new owners in private then that possibly explains why we are not panicking about spending money till the closed season when we can do it properly and sign players for next year ------- in the championship wherever we finish this season.
This is only speculation but I wouldn't be at all surprised and the championship or SL2 whatever it is called will be a very good division when Toronto join it along with a stronger Bulls.
