Second-rower. Reminds me very much of Bateman, not huge physically, but strong as an ox. He is still eligible for the academy but has scored 14 tries in 20 appearances this year. The championship is rough, tough league and has made mince meat of some young forwards who have been loaned to some clubs. As you say we have been woeful this year, too young a squad and too rubbish in all honesty. But he has been a stand out and even carried the team at times this year which is remarkable for a 19 year old. You won't be disappointed.

Agreed. He's been head and shoulders above others this year, he's easily our best player.

He's like Bateman in his qualities but without the ill discipline.

He's more of a backrow now than a hooker, he's not played at 9 all season. Running out wide on the left he can use his pace and has quick hands.

He reminds me of Harry Pinner, capable of getting through gaps and has a passing game.

If his home made thick cut chips are as tasty as Pinner's we're onto a winner here.

even with Saints dropping form a bit over the past few years I reckon we have missed out on a few players who would normally come. Bradford are will bounce back, it is just taking them longer than anyone expected......

Academy and scholars both had poor results this year.

I am not sure it is as simple as that, we can produce good teams but the best players in that team might not be the positions we need in our 1st team they have to be pretty special to get into the 1st team. Still this guy is running at a lower level than Saints so we need to see how he steps up.......

He'll step up. He's a quality player and will only get better with better quality players around him too. Very confident for a 19 year old lad and carried the Bulls for long periods this season. He'll be your version of John Bateman. So that should be an interesting battle next season!
