I'd be tempted with Wheeler, he'd be excellent attacking from the position Wellens often gets the ball (the kind of 2nd pivot / 3rd reciever).

Bound to happen eventually. Wellens is getting on a bit now and he's done well to avoid any serious injuries in his career. This has to be one of the longest absences he'll have had during his career. It stresses even more our urgency to find his replacement now, not tomorrow.

I'm hoping Lomax will devlop into a decent full back, it's a shame he's out injured as this would have been an ideal time for a few weeks in the starting line up. |
