I thought for once there was a lot of invention and some quality handling out there tonight, from both teams. We started very well and the game was over by the 50 minute mark leaving us open to clocking off, which we did in style. Credit to Wrexham tonight, they are a solid outfit who don't give in. They are superbly organised and their kicking game was fantastic I thought.



For us I thought Eastmond and Pryce were our standouts. Leon Pryce for me is untouchable at present, playing some of his best rugby for us in recent games. His departure from the pitch with an injury could well be the straw that breaks the deformed camels back if he's missing for next weeks game. Jammer too left the field and came back on with what looked like a cast on his hand and wrist, so hopefully that won't swell up and cause him problems for next week.



I was sat amongst some massive players tonight in the stands and if the likes of Soliola, Puletua and Wello aren't back next week we are in a bit of a mess. I think Warrington are pretty good favourites at the moment. We could do with one or two of their big players seeing red against the Bulls.

I agree with your first statement but not with your second. Crusaders played much better in the second half and we came out with a bad attitude which was reflected in our poor defence and botched attack. That game was over the minute Kyle dropped the goal. Before that point it could have gone either way because we lost all our shape in the second half.

Has Saddened recently recovered from total head transplant? A result such as this, a season or two ago, would have almost certainly have produced an interminable number of posts on The Decline and Fall of the St. Helens Empire.

There have been many entertaining games of late but this was not one of the better ones. The Wakefield game (first twenty minutes excepting) was a much better overall game.

I agree with Dave. Crusaders played some good rugby when we switched off but I don't think it was an entertaining game because the game was dead for pretty much 70 minutes whereas the Wakey game was at full tilt for pretty much the entire match.
