| Dean, Wheeler, Lomax and Meli. Quite a different backline. Far quicker than our 'full strength' one. Wish we could top it up with a new fullback.

| Pacey, but I'd expect HKR to try and exploit the inexperience there. Wellens will be needed to direct the defensive line.
We definitely need the pack to play well this weekend.

Is Dean quick? I haven't seen enough of him to tell, but I know he played a fair bit in the second row for the reserves.

He's a lot quicker than Matt Gidley. He's no speed merchant but he has the pace to go through if put on the outside of his centre.

| If the club think Dean is an outright centre then I doubt he'll be on the roster once we move to the new stadium. That said, the kid has a huge frame, which, with a stone extra hung off it, gives us a useful (and equally importantly - cheap) squad option for the pack.
What I like about Dean is he refuses to be written off. Sure, he's at best modestly talented - and the likelihood of him breaking any pots in this game is slim. But if anyone thinks they're going to take that squad jersey away from him they'd best come armed with a baseball bat and riot shield. IMO, There's a place in any good team for guts like that - provided they're used correctly.

I would agree with you on that. He offers nothing with the ball in hand and not so hot in defence either.

Playing four players out of position to be able to omit a 'solid' youngster at centre is just the most daft suggestion I've ever heard on here. Dean isn't Jamie Lyon and he's not quite Mal Meninga, but he's not a bad player and won't let us down at centre.

Thats total nonsense, Apart from the Hell game where most of the team were directionless and kack Pryce has been almost back to his best. He looks dangerous in attack , he is trying to shoulder some responsibility on the organising front and has worked his ass off in defense.

I agree. Since the evil fog night we've seen something of the Pryce who played before his court date last season and I'd like to keep on seeing that Pryce because he makes a difference.
I would also agree with Saddened! in that we don't go messing the whole team around just to avoid playing Dean at centre. Dean is a solid enough player who works hard and we need consistency in the team to function throughout our latest round of injuries.
