| Do you think potter should make James Roby our no 13, does he have better attributes in his game than Wilkin or Flannery. Our success in Superleague has always been based on this pivotal position, which has never been addressed since Scullys retirement.

Well, he's certanly bulked up enough to cover the role, i'd like to see it given a go

| IMO we can't play kc, Moore and roby as 3 hookers in the 17. That means someone has to play another postion and I think roby at 13 is the best idea as the other 2 can't really play in other postions.
Roby made his name as a dummy half runner but is a good strong runner who is one of the very few players we have that can make a break.
Wilkin and flannery are 2nd rows as they don't offer much with the ball.
So my answer is yes, let's give roby a good run at 13.

| The era of the scooting hooker is pretty much over. I think you should find a new position for a very talented individual. Would he not go ok at 7?

| I think he'd go well at 13. But then again I could see him being a streling fullback, a decent winger, quality centre, decent stand off and reasonable scrum half too. If this was the NRL they would call him a 'utility' and play him wherever they want.

he has already played wing, centre, hooker, loose forward and been on the bench in 4 games this season.

| I think he did well at 13 and in the centres - now we have someone to spell with KC Roby should be in with a strong shout for a starting 13 spot

I think that's amazing, especially considering that he didn't let us down on any of those occasions.
The trouble for him is that being so versatile will mean that Potter is unlikely to secure him to a spot. I suppose it could have longer term benefits for Roby in that playing in so many roles will develop his skill set ready for the mass exodus at the end of this season when I'm sure a more secure position will open up to him. However, from his own POV it must be frustrating sometimes not to be able to make a number his own.

| I don,t think being versatile is helping his game, for me Potter should do what he has done with Eastmond, he should say to Roby, "here is the no 13 jersey its yours for the season". He should be in the starting 13 and playing most of the game, not having our best tackler and support player sat on the bench. Wilkin and Flannery are no where near the standard of Sculthorpe, in Roby there is a possibility.

No chance in hell of that and I like Roby as a player.

That is one of the craziest things I have ever read on here, and there has been some crazy posted on here.

All three of them are nowhere near the natural talent of Sculthorpe, come on now.
I would like to see Roby given a go there on a more permanent basis to see how he goes, but it would probably mean that we need a bigger back row to compensate with Wilkin/Flannery coming out of the starting line up. My biggest gripe with Flannery is that he simply won't risk a pass to his centre despite creating one-on-ones on a regular basis, and when he has one of the best in Super League on his outside it is such a waste (see the Grand Final for some perfect examples). Wilkin puts the work in and whilst I don't think he as effective offensively as he once was, I still think he offers a lot to the team through his attacking lines and defense.
If we went with Roby at loose, my first choice pack would probably be:
Graham
Moore
Fozzard
Soliola
Wilkin
Roby
Faasavalu
Puletua
Cunningham
Flannery (although I would probably go with another prop or Clough, you can't leave out a high earner who takes a quota spot. Try justifying that to the shareholders!)
It's certainly food for thought anyway.

I would go for a starting pack of:-
8 Graham
9 Cunningham
10 Fozzard
11 Puletua
12 Soliola
13 Roby
Just imagine Eastmonds and Pryce's capabilities playing behind that lot.

| There's nothing wrong with him being our versatile player. We need players like that and he never lets us down when he shifts position. His defence and workrate are excellent yet he doesn't really have the skills to make a half back and is a bit small for loose forward. He could definitely help us out at centre and I'd like to see him retain that versatile role because he's very good at it.
