Just bought tickets for this game on 19th March. Think the wire will bring a considerable following given their current form. Given that its not on the telly will it be a sell out and what is the capacity of KR these days?

17,500 I believe, last season it fell just short of capacity, this time I think the place will be full, as its Wire's last visit, unless we draw them in the cup/playoffs.

Incredible that SKY haven't picked this game. Every single Saints-Wire game I've been to in Super League has been worth watching. A classic match-up made even more exciting by Wire finally getting a team.

I suppose the first ever non-English Super League encounter should take top billing but they could have moved us to Saturday then.

I can see this game being televised regardless of what they say now. Things can change.

But it is noticable how little we are on Sky this season compared to previous years. They must have spotted our dour rugby and turned us off.

If I was to pick out one match for each of the past five seasons that was probably the most tense and entertaining match of that particular season, I would say Saints v Wire would be the winner for each season.

And also, will Sky risk missing what could potentially be the first Wire victory for ages?

The Wire will take a lead. Their speccies will get giddy but ultimately we will snatch it at the death.

Wire have been on Sky two weeks on the trot, and to be fair, if it's a choice between Wire/Wigan and Wire/Saints, the Wigan game would be chosen every time.

Wire v Saints games would probably make up 6 or 7 out of the top 10 best ever Super League games. They are just riddled with entertainment, with very few blow outs, despite the lob sided outcomes.

Never. Wire/Saints is not only a great spectacle of enjoyable, open rugby league (since both teams traditionally play that way) but it has a unique fascination. Will Wire win it [ithis[/i time? Wire always give their all to beating Saints at KR and it's become an annual tradition of the very best kind. They have one more year to do it: this year. You'd think that Sky would really play on that to sell the game. It could pull an even bigger audience than the Wigan/Wire match of last weekend. But, no. They turn to Wrexham instead, when Wrexham shouldn't be distracted by being on Sky but instead be given plenty of opportunity to get a stable fanbase turning up at the actual match.
