Very idle. They wouldn't relegate a team who has consistently performed well in Super League, is one of the top draws, and is one of the names everyone recognises as being from Rugby League.

That said, relegating you would create a media frenzy, which is what RL needs right now. We need people talking about us.

Salford,cas or wakey would be dumped before saints,so even though your ground isn't up to scratch(which is really all they could pin on saints)I don't think you have to worry!

Wakefield will get the boot IMO, and to be honest, good riddance. They've had enough chances.

so you're saying halifax, widnes and toulose are better than those three? The RFL did promote the teams that were grandfinalists that year, so they were the best at the time, by your own logic (unless you mean the clubs as a whole, but i dont see how 1 more west yorks team will help expand our game)

I'll be surprised if anyone gets demoted, and I'll be absolutely amazed if any more than one team at a time ever get the chop.

I think Halifax will replacce Crusaders for sure, then maybe Widnes and Toulouse replacing Salford and Quins depending on this and next year's performances.

If Barrow back up their performances from last season then IMO they deserve to be in Superleague before any of the other teams, although I'd still have the Crusaders in because a presence in Wales is important just now.

It will come down to stadia. You should be okay as you are moving at the end of the year and have been very successful. If we get ours (which is looking very promising), we should be okay. Play-off finish and a brand new stadium, with good community development and an acadamy team that are the current champions. Salford may just scrape the Manchester vote if they get a new ground, although off the field and on, they are not a big player.

Cas are maybe the riskiest, as they are determined to go it alone with the stadium (for understandable reasons) and seem to be the club that is least likely to succeed on the stadium front.

We know if the stadium gets rejected this summer, we are out. No illusions. If approved this summer, the spade may hit the dirt before the end of the season (so say those people in the know). There are some very big movers and shakers involved in our plan.

FWIW, I like grounds like Knowsley Road and Wheldon Road. Proper grounds. I have to accept that Belle Vue doesn't quite cut it, however.

Because it looks like there might, just might, be some real interest. While there is that possibility, a presence - a competitive presence I should say - is important. And having Wales involved in rugby league is important because I think it would be great to have more areas of the country genuinely involved in rugby league. Don't you?

Can you imagine being kicked out at the expense of the Crusaders? Wakefield may have an awful ground, but at least they have some support. The game will never expand with the RFL the way it is, some of the decisions they make are horrendous.

We'll revisit it this figure in August, although I would be quite happy if Crusaders can hang in there off the field.

If Huddersfield were a new franchise, and people started giving out free tickets to promote the game, I'm sure that myself and anyone else up for something new and free would go, simply because I live here. How many of those would stick around and pay for games on a regular basis? Well, we'll see in the case of the Crusaders. But I'm willing to bet on something moderately more successful than Harlequins.
