having watched the first game of the season IE. crusaders v Leeds I'm dismayed by the total lack of decent reffing which was so much in evidence last season, you would have thought that certain match officials would have honed their skills in the close season, but "no" much to my dismay it seems to have continued into last nights game , to say the score flattered Leeds is putting it mildly and to give that last Leeds try was laughable! so come on rfl, get these jokers up to the standard required

the last try was a joke, even Leeds lined up to play the ball. I dont think it was too bad apart from that, its easy to critise with the aid of 10 video angles, but i think Thaler did ok

i thought you couldn't lift a leg and force a player into touch anymore but Thaler let it go, he said the player tried to get the ball away but any player would if they where heading for the touch line , that was just one bad call
the standard isn't good enough for today's game and the holding down at the play of the ball is wrecking the sport.

You can bet your life that all the wrong decisions made last night i.e. new rules not adhered to etc will probably go against us next week after the refs have studied last nights game. It will be interesting to see next Fridays game to make note of what is possibly going to happen in our game and our players will need to be aware of this.

well one main point is that for a try now, the ball doesnt have to hit the ground, interesting rule change that!
