On the 6th Feb me and a few others will be coming to watch the opening SL game St's V Hull but prior to that we're going to Anfield for the Liverpool v Everton match. Can you tell me the best route from Anfield to Knowsley Road and if there is anywhere decent to stop for something to eat/drink on route. Thanks in advance

Anfaild to KR, aim for the East Lancs road, and you will be able to see the floodlights as you get to St Helens/Rainford from the Lancs on the right hand side. (A580).

Come back Via the East lancs (A580) and turn off at the junction with the A570 (there's a tesco garage there for reference) take an immeadiate right, onto Bleakhill rd and follow the road all the way untill you get to a "mini" roundabout, take a left and you'll get to the Griffin pub, big car park, half a mile from the ground and great grub too!

Yes, and also an excellent place to take residence should you fancy sauntering back the day after.

I have my moments! Yeah, its a great family pub with an adventure playground thing for little 'uns!

I would turn right before the tesco garage and go down Houghtons lane (i think its called that) It's the second right after the roundabout by the game bird

Will Nabis Indian be open that early before the game as that's a good place if you like your Indian food. Its on the left at the petrol station about half a mile before the lights where you need to turn right.

its the best indian around with prices to match.i think it opens at 5pm
