A friend and colleague of mine at work is considering buying a house in Shevington Close near Sherdley Park. Any one any experience of wht the areas like?

There is a large park nearby.

It's off the 'old' Beth Ave. Hope that helps!!

Sherdley Park is massive, so the area you describe as being near it could cover a good three or four square miles.

In general though, it's not bad. Some pockets are worse than others obviously, and I can;t get over that new estate - can't remember the name - that's plonked literally right in the middle of two industrial parks. It's off the road that splinters off from the Linkway near McDonalds and the new Ford garage.

Tall Trees is the one of the streets of where you are talking about.

First road on the left as you enter the old Beth Ave estate from the Sutton CC side.

While the surrounding area on one side is fine - there are still issues with the residents who are still on the old Beth Ave estate, some are great some are the complete opposite and make it a nightmare for the surrounding area.

My personal preference would be to avoid it completely, but it all depends on your mates circumstances and what he/she wants out of it.

Thanks for the info so far She's just starting out with her fellow and the territory suits as she want some middle ground between Orrell and Widnes I guess and I think the price is right.
