They have a great chance. We've been lucky that Leeds lost in line with us, so the 'kick up the backside' scenario won't happen because nothing changed last weekend as all the top 4 lost.

Personally I think our pathetic, weak squad is coming back to haunt us already. Forget October, we haven't got the squad to cope with April and May. This is the stage where other sides will be bringing in a few players who haven't played as much, whereas you can name our side for the next game already. No one can be rested as there isn't anyone to bring in.

May be true = but we have worked ourselves into such a strong position that we can lose anothrt 6-7 games this year and are still likely to be in the top 2

The first choice 17 is superb. There isn't a single senior player beyond that though. Every injury we suffer weakens us more than it would some other teams in SL. It's a different approach and we'll be able to tell come October if it was a good one.

I think it's 50:50 too but not because of injuries, just because of the way we played on Friday. Because we did some bizarre stuff and because some of our senior players were so completely off form (all at once), I'm not sure whether we are looking at a one-match blip or the start of a slide which we'll come back out of eventually but maybe not in time to indulge in our recent pastime of squashing the Pies!

They might be, but as they never get a regular start in the side we'll probably not know until one of few remaining senior players retires. We're not using them well at the minute, Wheeler for example has probably played 4 positions this season already.

Surely if you are serious your going abit overboard. The squad may not be the biggest and the back up the most experienced but this is superleague and it'll easily be enough to get you through to another league leaders shield.

I think it's great for the game as a whole that your back up is only supplied by kids as it's giving the likes of Wheeler, Eastmond and Ashurst the chance to play with world class players and learn from them.

FWIW ithink your defeat against Bradford will have woken you up intime for us next week and even if we play to our best it probably won't be enough for a victory.

Don't know what you are going on about? I was saying that we don't have any senior players outside the starting 17 and the gaffer seems reluctant to give the likes of Eastmond, Wheeler and co a starting spot in anything other than isolation, with months often between Eastmond's games.

The performance against Bradford was woeful, they are all knackered. But there isn't anyone we can/realistically would bring in to freshen things up.

As for freshening things up you wouldn't think you'd need it on the back of a 60+ win at Cas but i don't watch you every week.

I'm sure your team will look fresh enough come 7.01pm on Saturday.

Against Cas we were good in attack against a poor side. We were still shocking defensively at times.

well you'll have 'pull it to you ' and gidley back and i've no doubt little Eastmond will pop up from the reserves as usual so you should be better than friday. We're now showing a little more confidence so aslong as we don't get caught early doors it could be close.

I think it will either be a close game going either way or Saints will run riot. I can't see Wigan winning by more than 6 if at all.

Eastmond's been injured for most of this season so far and getting his fitness up, so I don't think you can call MP on that. He's only had 3 months on the job, and in that time Eastmond's been recovering from a shoulder op, a hamstring strain and tonsilitus. Not the lad's fault obviously but neither is it the coach's.
