Professional sportsman out with tonsilitis. Shame they don't just whip them out these days, stupid things they are.

Have you ever had Tonsilitis? the only day(s) i've ever had off sick, completely ruins you and you can hardly stand, let alone play rugby.

Yup, had it plenty of times. It's not nice.

You can get over it in a week, or it can take a month.
It's a bl**dy awful sickness.

He might get over it in a week, but will loose a lot of weight and not train. I'd be surprised to see him back inside a month

While we were in town on Thursday lunchtime we saw Gidley with his wife and one of his daughters having a spot of lunch in BB's cafe in the precinct. He was absolutely fine then - definately no bug. Seeing as he was sat down we couldn't tell if he was carrying an ankle injury or not. He was not in the 19 man squad so I presume it was an ankle injury/knock. Can't be serious or he wouldn't have been walking around town.

I have no tonsils anymore, but now suffer from somethign called faringjitus instead, its a killer and just brings me to a halt like tonsil did. Horrendous feeling.

And don't call the sweaties "Scotch", it really winds them up!
