We did have STAG on one of our shirts I think it was the centenery shirt. The blue and white striped one with stag on in red letters if I am not mistaken.

That was made by stag, but was sponsored by McEwans

IIRC, in some cases open age amateur teams drawn away to other sides from other counties used to wear their respective towns professional sides strip.

As a kid, I followed Orrell St James a few times to Yorkshire and they often wore a Wigan RL kit donated/borrowed by the club.

I couldn't be bothered going to get the shirt out to look at it. I knew it had stag on it somewhere but I couldn't remember who our sponsors were. (We've had so many)

I have to admit I do remember STAG being the sponsor for a match, testimonial, friendly or something, vague but I also see that in my memory bank

I have this shirt too - I think it was just a leisure type top from the 96/97 era.
