| Quote ="Saint Jamie B"IMO Graham going is a done deal behind the scenes and i dont mind Flannery leaving as he can be replaced by an academy lad but i think Pryce will go but im just wondering if there is a bit left in him, i mean he is one of our best players on the attack when fully fit but could we use him for 2 more years while Lomax gets expierence and just to say Lomax has done a fantastic job but still wonder if we should keep Leon
'"
I think a lot of the Pryce / Lomax situation will depend on
a.) If Pryce ever gets fit again this season
b.) How Lomax continues to play whilst he has his opportunity
If Pryce continues to struggle for fitness and Lomax carries on playing well, I don't think the board will take the risk on an injury probe Pryce.

| Pryce will be on an awful lot of money, the kids are looking good and don't forget about Hohaia coming. IMO Pryce is likely going.
Jammer may be leaving, but I reckon Cloughy can step into that workhorse role quite well. Chris hill has also been mentioned.
[i**EDIT** Just noticed Mace the Ace is off contract next year - does he still have his bedsit in Parr?[/i
I'd like to see an Athletic running 2nd row come in for Flanders.

Gutted about that. Not because he's leaving (resigned to that a looong time ago) but I can't stand the Bulldogs, horrible club and horrible fans.

| It is not helping the current exchange rate for players from Down Under so they are losing out, as far as home grown players who leave if James goes it is all Wrong that two players and not one penny of income for all the investment made with a transfer fee.

| TP says some very good things about the club and gives the impression that he would like to stay.
Here's hoping.

It looks to me as he wants to go back home and he's seeing what's on offer in the NRL.

Yeh but that is the way of transfers these days. Cas got nowt for Shenton. Saints have also lost Emmitt, Smith, Johnson et al, all for nothing. Most clubs will wait till players are off contract, it makes sense.
There are the rare exceptions. In the end the home club have first dibs to sign a player, it's up to them whether to try and tie them to a long contract or not.
Anything else would be restriction of trade. I only have to give my employer a months notice. So at least the contracts require a full filling of the contract and players can't chop and change each week depending on the price, as that would kill sport as a support based event.

We've got a real problem if this is the case.
Chris Hill's been touted, almost as a cerainty. Mason's the only other prop I fancy from the OOC list.
Those + Perry, LMS and Clough will be an impressive set, but not as good as we currently have (although Clough and LMS could well go up a gear by this time next year).

LMS has really impressed me, to the point it will minimise grahams loss. TP will be harder to replace from scratch, i agree magical mac has his work cut out there

| LMS may well improve as he has only been at the club for a short period but yesterday he was completely anonymous when Puletua and Graham were off the pitch. He should have been calling for the ball on the full and clearing the gain line but very often he was nowhere to be seen and it was left to Gardner and Foster to take the ball.
If we're going to schedule our forwards in such a fashion that sees Graham and Puletua off for 15-20 minutes he's going to have to man up. It would also be useful if Meli took the ball up more often. In the second half I barely saw the man whilst our second string props were struggling to make yardage.

| Sam Moa is better than Tony P. He could serve you well when we buy Tony off you. Of course I am half joking. I would love Tony at the Wire. But look into Sam Moa. He has always impressed me and always shines in a poor Hull pack

| Does anyone know our overseas players situation next year?
If Graham flannery and TP leave we will need some experienced quality players to replace them.
With lance hohaia already signed mean we may have to replace them with English players and not many off contract worth taking.
