From a Leeds point of view I have a bad feeling about this game. I expect to see a reaction from saints this week and any Leeds saints game is going to be competitive

if you were to have this id swap wheels and shenton it would add to the defance to both sides, meli the winger needs a better defender on his inside and i wouldnt have foster, he starts or doesnt get a shirt we need to get rid of the back on the bench, THE only way we should have one is if its someone to play hooker and either give robes a rest and add the extra level around the ruck

Has the Saints squad changed remarkably over the last couple of days because im sure there was a thread only a few days before Simmons got sacked that predicted you wouldnt win another game all season and all your players were overrated and disinterested with the exception of Roby!! If TP could catch it would be all doom and gloom with that useless coach Royce Simmons in charge and your players would not now be world beaters again!

Do people think Laffranchi is a prop or second row?

With his good handling skills id play him in the second row out wide against Carl Ablett and watch him run wild. The centres would get the ball then.

At his current size I'd say he's a back row. He has the frame to bulk up so moving to a permanent position at prop isn't out of the question.



Not a bad tactic. TBH, I'm up for anything that re-connects our pack and backs.

He has almost identical stats to Adrian Morley this year, so I don't think there's a question of him being capable at prop.

There have been glimpses, however, of him getting half breaks out wide, which makes you wonder whether he'd be better employed a bit wider and that his move forward has been premeture?

If we turn things around and start performing, it would be interesting if he could be given a bit of freedom out wide, especially with Soliola being able to play more central at times.

Laffranchi and Soliola in the second row would be menacing!

We could quite easily force teams down the middle as they won't want to run at them two out wide freeing them up to get more of the ball or come inside of they wanted to look for work.

Where are getting this idea that Laffranchi can be manacing from? He's a workhorse, but there is no impact there at all. Soft in the tackle, soft tackler too.

I believe Stevie Ward may be making his debut for Leeds on Sunday. He is one of the most talented young players I have seen in the last couple of years.

Interesting. Do they shift burrow, or will they want to keep him in the hooking role that he's been having so much success in?

Sinfield will move to 6 and Burrow more than likely will go to 7 to start with.

Id expect that Ward will then probably shift to 7 and Burrow goes to 9 when McShane shows his inability to control a game and his temper
Its interesting that Leeds could have 3 players in their team able to play hooker but they could also play with one back on the bench (ala Royce)
Good rotation for Leeds will keep Saints guessing and we have to perform well to get a result.

We should target their 2nd row and lock forward positions. Delaney and Ablett with Clarkson at 13 being the most likely and then Kirke to come on shows there is a chink in their metal.

reading the leeds borad they seem to think that stevie ward is going to start, gamble in a big game that, i know our go forward has been crap and leeds will fancy winning that battle but even so, couple of big hits right in the ribs might be enough to put this young lad off his game - will be intresting to see what hes got

It's more of who we'd select rather than how we think Mc will pick the team tbh.
Also despite Mcguires injury Ward is in on Merit due to his U20's form and is equally comfortable in the BR but has played all this season at 6.
Really looking forward to this plenty of up and coming young English talent on show and a possible look at future test players in their respective positions.
