St Helens Chamber are having their annual dinner dance at the new stadium it seems, and it has sold out. So says Twitter anyway. Hopefully there will be more organisations who decide to try out the new stadium for events like this.

Well, what fantastic news! Please post us a picture, nay a few pictures as soon as you can. 
I must go on record and congratulate you on your new stadium. It really is superb and I look forward to visiting next season. The HJ is ok for what it is but LP seems a good few notches up from that and certainly generates a feel good factor.

No. Apparently the type of cladding around the to be fitted around remainder of the stadium is going to be of a perforated kind, allowing a breeze through (so taking away wind resistence pressure) but not the rain. Some of it will reach the roof while at other places it won't. There is a plan of the proposed cladding somewhere, perhaps earlier on in this thread. The plans were passed but with conditions which probably means the stadium won't be finished by the start of the new season, alas. But ultimately it isn't going to be open as it is at present. |

talking to someone who should know, he said things were delaying the start of the cladding fitting, at this stage it can only be the conditions attached, he said it was touch and go wether it will be ready for the first game. wether he meant first league game of friendly, dont know. |
