So what is the official line on Smelli? Is he going to come back or not?
I don't understand why a player waiting for a VISA couldn't come over on holiday? It's not like someone couldn't travel from NZ to England for a month is it?

The official line is he is training in NZ (Potter hopes) waiting for his Visa/clearance to resume his Saints career. |

What state he will be in physically and mentally to play at this stage is somewhat in doubt.
I would have thought he might be ready for the cup game in a couple of weeks, but it may be pushing it to throw him in this Friday. Depends on fitness and Jetlag.

I'd play him on Friday. How unfit can a player be? He is a winger so won't be doing a great deal so contributing for an hour would help shift some of the weight. Knowing Francis he'll no doubt turn up looking like Notorious B.I.G with a Freddie wig on.
