With the postponed game against Whitehaven as well, that’s three weeks out of four that he’s been named our referee. Also is reserve referee for Wakefield v Widnes this Friday.

Match Commissioner: Mick Heptinstall (Castleford)
Works for the RFL promoting touch rugby league. Was previously assistant coach at Doncaster (see photo). Has spent time as a development officer in the Wakefield council area. That covers Castleford and Featherstone as well as Wakefield, so frankly that does feel a bit like kicking at an open door. Or perhaps I should say that he was obviously brilliant at the job.
