| York dig deep to beat ORL, York City Knights overcame Jack Aldous early red card to beat ORL 36-26 and maintain the pressure on Kingstone Press. Aldous was sent off after just six minutes but York went into half-time with a 22-12 lead after Ben Dent, Jack Blagbrough, James Haynes and Greg Minikin all crossed. Josh Nathaniel and Craig Cook were ORL. tryscorers in the opening 40 minutes and when Nathaniel scored again at the start of the second half, the ORL were only six points behind.
Back-to-back tries from Josh Tonks and Minkin put York back in control, only for ORL to hit back again through Cook and Andrew Hoggins to make it 30-26 with 10 minutes to go. But Blagbrough second try four minutes from time wrapped up the win for York, who remain four points behind Oldham in second.

| Re the 'stripping' incident. I think we've got the wrong end of the stick. I think the ref blew for a forward pass to Danny about three passes after we regained possession following the 'strip'. It was played level with me and was definitely forwards. That is when the ref blew up and I thought at the time he was calling the forward pass and not anything to do with the 'strip'.
