For my money Hemel have the best squad of the southern teams. At the risk of upsetting Mark I think this looks a tough draw to my eyes. Again I'll be happy with a good display, lessons learnt and no injuries, helping us build for Coventry. Anything beyond that will be a bonus.
Looks like I should make this one so see some of you there, hopefully to see the players prove me hopelessly wrong.
I also have a lot of time for Hemel, although their result last Sunday gives some hope. It would be good if Oxford can win a cup match for the first time, particularly an all-southern clash. To show my confidence I bought my cup final ticket 6 months ago...
Just a note to congratulate the players on proving me wrong.
Have to say I thought Hemel were disappointing given the team they had out but credit goes to Oxford too. Some good D work kept us in the game and laid the platform for eventual victory. When on the front foot there was some good stuff played at times.
It's clear we have recruited a team who have bought into the ethos and will graft. We can ask no more. Some signs too that we may be slightly less likely to concede daft penalties this season though there still looked to be room for improvement.
