| A woeful Skolars performance saw a thoroughly deserved win for South Wales. Skolars didn't help themselves, dropping the ball three times when trying to touch down. If Oxford had scouts here expect us to attack down the right a lot next week!

| I went to the Skolars game on Saturday as well. Skolars were very poor and next week will be a good chance for Oxford to get back to winning ways.
In the programme it said that New River wouldn't be ready for the Oxford home game and that they were looking for an alternative venue. Enfield is not an automatic choice because the football club's season starts that weekend, but I'd guess it's still the most likely.
I wasn't that impressed with the QE2 ground, but nice to go somewhere different. Very short pitch, but I didn't notice a single 40-20 attempt.

| I actually preferred it to New River. I stood on the far side and the six lane running track, whilst not ideal, wasn't too bad. Also it didn't have the New River freezing on a nice day microclimate. I can see the small member of seats in the only raised stand would be a challenge in a decent crowd.
If we do play there it's an easy drive. A right turn signposted off the A10 and about 5 mins from the M25. If Mark runs a mini bus beer drinkers may want to go that way. 4 local craft beers on for Skolars v Scorpions. 2 from Redemption in the bar and two unknown in a beer tent. Sadly it's a drive from where I live and I stayed out of the beer tent to avoid temptation.

| In this weeks rugby league down south podcast the Skolars commercial manager confirmed both the Oxford game and the Friday night lights match will not play at New River.
The Enfield Town FC season starts the day before Oxford play at Skolars. He confirms ETFC have been approached and the groundsman and safety officer are happy and it is with the ETFC board.
Having been involved with a football club at that level I'm sure Enfield will host these matches if at all possible. The bar take at Friday Night Lights alone would be a nice little earner, not to mention two lettings fees for the pitch.
