| Once more it the second half rugby that let ORL down we must learn to play the full 80 as at half time it was on 18-10 but a hat-trick of tries from Leon Brennan scored saw North Wales Crusaders closed the gap on leaders Oldham with a comfortable 54-10 victory over ORL.
Simon Stephens went over for a seventh-minute try for the hosts and Tommy Johnson added the extras but two tries in three minutes from Shaun Robinson, the first of which Jonny Leather converted, handed Oxford a 10-6 advantage and ORL was looking good. Crusaders hit two more trys to make it 18-10 half-time.
But from then it was one-way traffic after the interval as Brennan ran in his hat-trick of tries to add to further scores and Johnson took his tally to nine goals for a full time score of 54-10
