I reckon Leeds Building Society will want to sponsor it. But then again if that was to happen, I think Met Carnegie will have a few things to say about it. They will want to stay main sponsors and this could look like LBS are encroaching on their turf.

The Rhinos will still be able to sell the naming rights of the new stand, to any prospective buyers, regardless of the fact that Carnegie have the naming rights to the stadium

not up on this sort of thing,but when would they have to apply for planning permission for the project to start in one years time?

Planning permission was appiled for some time ago.

They could follow the Man utd model - during construction of one of their stands (the big north stand I think) a couple of construction workers died and the families asked to have some sort of memorial plague...Man Utd said it wouldn't be appropriate to have a permanent memorial then proceeded to launch a pay to have your name on a brick scheme

Leeds heavily considered naming the carnegie stand after him, John could never understand why as he thought Lewis Jones was a far better player than himself, typical of the man i suppose.

I have heard on the grapevine the plans are to demolish the supporters club and incorparate this into the stand ?????

Some of the pictures and the framed shirts belong to our old amateur team and I would like them retrieved or retained in the new club.

Im sure they will matey, it would be a tremendous shame if someone were to try and sell them on. Not that i think they will like.

ok, personally i don't want a 'John Holmes south stand'. What i'd like is a 'walk of legends' behind the stand, involving statues of all our great players.

e.g. Holmes, Shoey, Stevo, Jones, Wardy-later Sinfield and possibly McDermott.
