| Jon wilkin comments after the Hull game.
I don’t normally agree with Jon but his comment about the fact that he was a soft player himself while mentioning the fact about the tough players he played with but stated he would be licking his lips and would love to tear into the Leeds pack specifically naming big mick because in his words live on sky nothing is coming back .
Not only big mick but the entire Leeds pack.
Gutted to say I totally agree
.
This is the real problem at Leeds now.
Thoughts?

| Totally agree Without Bentley on the pitch we have nothing. Newman likes flexing the muscles on insta, but when it comes to a battle on the pitch he soon shy's away. What was that with the pretend head thing?

| Correct Ronnie.
I wonder if Jon Wilkin would like to go toe to toe with Bentley.

| I went across today in tribute to Burrow , what a terrible sad day.
Fans fighting each other.
What a truly abysmal display.
Oledzki tried hard and was our best prop but made 3 poor errors.
The other props were utter garbage. Fusitua charging in off his wing in defence, utterly clueless.
I have to question whether some players were actually trying to get him sacked. Cam smith needs dropping. Either his confidence totally shot or he’s no longer playing for the coach. As a captain that’s unsustainable.
They have to sack him on Monday and start again.
I’m actually angry Ona day which should have been a committed display for a great man , we got that.
Shameful by some players.

| The basic skills and attitude of this group are lethargic and sloppy, and to me, that's a reflection of the coach. What do they actually work on in training?
I don't agree that Blease's job is that enormous. A coach who will up the intensity and tighten up the basics would improve this team greatly in a short period of time.

We need a leader at #7 with a strong kicking game who can take control and kick the team around the pitch and some big power forwards.
Miller needs to learn FB defensive play/ positioning and the whole team needs to re learn the basics of passing, ptb and support play'" we need a leader full stop. On and off the pitch

Good post and totally agree
I bet a work colleague who is a hull season ticket Leeds would lose
My only disappoint from that game is that Rohan Smith didn’t get sacked immediately after the match
Ian Blease has his first job sorted now
I would rather have JJB than the current muppet

| Ive had an absolutely shocking week and that just topped it off.
The application and some of the players attitude was appalling.
Really felt sorry for Mik he was absolutely devastated at the end.
Not sure I've got the brain capacity at the moment to even dissect that performance. I hope the do Rob more justice on Friday.

| Wilkin was right in what he said about our pack in general, but referenced the wrong player in Oledzki. He is the only prop I’d keep, and the only one who turned up again today. Lisone is a flat track bully and a penalty machine, and Sangare is a sad indictment on the people making the big decisions at Hedingley. Not only was he a bad signing, but his contract extension is the biggest joke in the club’s history.

| Jon Wilkins was a tough player and a mongrel as a small forward in a big tough man’s world as a player.
The statement he gave with honesty is a huge clue to where Wigan and Saints have it right and where we are going wrong at this time.
The last time we corrected this was when Doug Laughton came in and got rid of the slow small players and brought in Big faster more aggressive ones.
Big Mick is a free hit for all the other forwards in the league he never re acts it’s not in his nature and everyone in the league has no fear of him not to single him out no one else bar Bentley can help him.
People who have played at any level very very quickly work out who to mess with and who not

Totally agree. Wonder if we’re all in agreement on here now Smiths race is run… he’s out of his depth. Terribly disappointing for all and it’s not what we wanted at season start, we were expecting a good competitive season with a top 4 challenge. It’s absolutely shocking. This should have been a game where we came out firing on all cylinders. Fuming. Hull fc are poor

I've come to that conclusion. There are occasions where it just doesn't work out between coach and club and this is one of them. I genuinely wish RS well for the future but in the best interests of all concerned it's time to move on. I'm sure Blease will be having the conversation. I'm equally sure RS knows the score.

That will be Shaun Wane then? You should have gone for him before Smith. I think he was quite a poular choice on here if i remember rightly. I don't want him to leave Wigan but i would be fascinated to see what he could do at a big club in decline like Leeds or a Hull. His rugby isn't always pretty but he always gets every last drop of effort from his players. He is renowned for utilising the academy and promoting from within too. It's everything clubs like Leeds, Wigan and Saints are built on. You need somebody who gets the culture of being in charge of one of these sides. The imposters of these roles never succeed.

| We know this set of players can play a lot better than that. I think they've given up on the coach. Its getting to the point where Smith should walk away, as if the players have lost faith it will just be like this more often than not until he goes, and that looks to be a very unhappy group of players. Its unfortunate with the timing of Rob's passing, but once the players check out the coach is a goner.

| Oledzki is a workhorse prop. He is not and never will be the sort of prop who opposition fear. Not because he doesn't get aggro, but he just doesn't/can't run or hit with the kind of sheer power that others do. If the rest of our rotation was full of mongrel he'd be the perfect balance. Sadly the rest are complete powder puffs, and Oledzki looks worse than he is a lot of the time.
If you want to fix this team up though then size and aggression up front are what's needed. We have zero platform for Croft or the backs, and everyone looks awful. Martin is our best forward, but as an OS player he may need to be sacrificed to get us some oomph. But really the rest of the forwards are almost laughably bad as a unit. The only way that could change is if a new coach comes in and tries to get them to tear in. I don't think we have many that could change, maybe Holroyd?

| Our pack gets bullied every week and continually gives up cheap yardage when defending. Croft needs to play behind a dominant pack to get the best out of him if we can see this then surely Blease will do too.

| I was thinking just after half time we should have pushed Smith up to prop, O’Connor to 13 and brought Johnson on.
Goudemand doesn’t do it for me at prop. He’s a bench back row who can emergency cover prop if needed.
Smith is slowing us down too much, he is struggling for form. Sangare gets bagged but he gets passed the ball with 2 opposition forwards already on him, he has no chance.
Honestly have doubts over all Smith’s signings. I still like McDonnell but he needs to be our smallest forward. The conditions played into Hull’s hsnds today as it exposed our poor skill and lack of physicality.
