| Quote ="Marty Grrrrrrrrrr!"Losing Tommy is a masaive blow. If Cam Smith at 13 with Tet moving up to prop is the move then its a decent option.
Cam has all the ability in the world and needs to kick on now hes got enough experience. Big year for him.
We cant afford more injuries in the middle or halves thats for sure.'"
Agree, Cam can really put his marker down this year.
As others have said, salary cap sport and all that probably most sides are vulnerable to injuries in the hard-to-come-by positions. Been a big push in the stock of props in recent years.
I dunno, if we get some luck this year we could be right up there, if we don't at least it'll make it even more obvious where the gaps are and we should be in a position to recruit for 2023.

I'm quietly confident Cam will come into his own this year and be one of our best players. I think he's finally starting to master that link play, and get's his hands on the ball a lot. He also has a decent short kicking game. I'm putting in a bold prediction to say he'll be our starting 13 most of the year, and a top performer.
Looking at some of the training footage, Fuusitua is absolutely huge and looks like one of our biggest players. Hopefully his carries out of yardage will ease some load on the props.

| As a Fev fan I was quite impressed by Mackenzie Turner last week btw (if he was the player wearing the 1 jersey in the 2nd half?). He stopped Gareth Gale head on in full flow and on another occasion forced him into touch, and there were quite a few experienced and high-profile wings and full backs who failed to do that in the Championship last year.

Yeah I thought he showed up well too, there must be a reason the coaching staff have accelerated him through.

Think they said Sutcliffe would be captain from half-back so:
Walker, Tindall, Edwards, Broadbent, Turner
Sutcliffe, Sinfield
Thompson, Johnson, Mustapha
Mellor, Walters
O'Connor
Probably my starting line-up from that squad. That's actually a pretty good side TBF.

Struth we have a terrible planned squad if we are ‘down to the bones’ after 1 injury to a young prop!

| Interested to see how Sam Walters goes at prop today. He mentioned playing middle in one of his interviews a few week ago.

I was thinking the same with Walters. Maybe they see him as a prop going forward.
Maybe a bit young just yet, but he's got the size.
Another JP / Morley transition would do nicely....

| Sounds like a great second half but also looked like they dominated the weight of play in the first despite being 12 down?

| Thought Muizz and OConner were excellent, Corey Johnson impressive aswell.
Decent run out from Walker looks a bit bulkier which will help him.
Thought Sinfield played well too, great ball for Tindalls try
Who was the player in 17 for us? He looked a handful

Didn't make it today but sounds like a great win. Did Bradford field a weakened side in the second half or did we just wear them down?

I don’t know how weakened it was to be honest but we totally dominated them and looked very well drilled and what pleased me was we weren’t dominated in the forwards and they seemed a lot bigger than us.

Looks impressive for such a young kid, seemed to make a lot of yards in contact and ran good lines.
Future does seem very bright!

| You've got some very impressive kids coming through. Feel free to send them on loan to us!
Quite an entertaining game. You pulled away easily in the second half but we did bring on our kids, fringe players and trialists. That shouldn't detract from an impressive performance from your team. I thought some outshone their more experienced teammates. O'Connor much better than Bodene Thompson for example.
