Warrington have had regular victories over Leeds in the last few years: including in the playoffs. And you still didn't justify the 'prima donnas' tag which is, when based on one single performance as you seem to have done, ridiculous.

Maybe but you would be mad to take 2/5 on us to win against Leeds even if we were playing well which we are not.

Think the bet365 have read to much into the Cru game other bookies might not, am having a little on Leeds and the draw as am not confident.

Having followed Leeds for a good while I know all about prima donnas. They flatter to deceive, they run amuck when it doesn't count for much but when they need the crucial big performance it's seldom there.

Will this season be any different to the previous fourteen in SL?

I'd hardly call our performances "prima donna ish, when it matters", over the Super League era. On the few times we've made the play offs, we've acquited ourselves quite well, with a number of average players in our ranks, and a coach of limited ability, unable to take us to the next level.

We now have a squad capable of great things and a coach with an excellent track record.

To my knowledge, we've only had 3 games so far this season, to "win when it matters", and we have...Fev,Hudds and Bradford. Last season, we had 5 games which we had to "win when it matters" and if memory serves me correctly, we did.

As Mark alluded to, a few posts before, you don't get any extra points for beating the "big" teams.

Warrington's play off record over 12 season's is: Played 5, Won 1, Drawn 0, Lost 4. The sequence being L, L, W, L, L. The Win somewhat ironically coming against a Tony Smith coached Leeds at Headingley.



A combination of squad and coach that, as yet, have been unable to register a win of any description against Leeds, St Helens or a Michael Maguire coached Wigan.



Are games that would have helped Warrington claim a place in the Pay-Offs not must win games? That probably explains why Warrington supporters have so often been left to look on from outside the Play-Offs when the genuine contenders are taking centre stage. Compared to Warrington's 5 appearances other permanent SL members, Bradford (23), Leeds (2icon_cool.gif, Wigan (29) and St Helens (30) puts Warrington's achievement in context. As does Castleford's 6 despite suffering two relegations along the way.

If it's any comfort Warrington have played more Play-Off games than the other permanent member London/Harlequins (2) and have enjoyed a slight advantage in average finishing league placing - 7.21 to 7.36
