According to our chairman they turned down a ridiculously large offer from Warrington for him and he he has shot down reporter after reporter that has questioned him moving on, backing this up by signing a 4 year deal last year, when you think Carter turned down 175k for Kirmond a few years back from Salford - Just how much would you want your club to spend on a player that has spent the last 2 seasons with serious injuries?

Wow. There can't be many chairmen who'd turn down £175k for Danny Kirmond. Then again, there can't be many who'd offer £175k for him...

Pure speculation by me but I'm pretty sure Hurrell just posted a video on his Instagram of Rhys Evans comparing him to Lewis capalidi from Bradford in some changing rooms with Rob Lui and Rhyse Martin. Just putting 2 +2 together but were in for a utility back and he covers Wing and centre and Bradford need cash could he have signed for us?

He would be cheap and like you say cover is cover he wouldn't be starting for us every week if he was to sign if all our our backs were fit but if we went for him then used our last quota spot to get a top draw prop from NRL I'd be happy if I'm honest.

They may be good young players with potential, but looking good at academy rugby and senior rugby are two very different things.

Totally agree with all these comments about Rhys. Smart move from the club if the quality they desire isn't available. Loads will grumble about this but as was said, very little to see here so move along.

A cheap experienced signing. If our youth is good enough then they will have no trouble getting past Rhys if a spot is available through injury. If they can't get past him then he will be a good loan signing. I really don't get your big issue, sure he isn't a worldy signing but that isn't what we need here.

Salary cap signing. You can't stockpile quality in reserves. The young lads would benefit from some dual reg to be ready to step up when the time is right

The coaching team obviously thi k the outside backs coming through are not ready yet.
