| Handley has played FB in the U19s before, perhaps he'll get a game there and someone like Ryan Jones will get a game on the wing?

| Given how little decent ball Leeds centres are seeing at the moment anyway, I'd be tempted to stick Watkins at full-back where at least he'll get some room to run on kick returns.
Keinhorst at right centre, Ablett at left, Singleton at 13.
Alternatively, next man up at full-back would either be Liam Sutcliffe or Nick Rawsthorne neither of whom have a great deal of experience in the position.
Have we tried giving Kris Radlinski a call, see if he fancies coming out of retirement to play for nothing?

| The only player I would rest is peacock, this entirely due to his age. Whilst wakey are struggling they have a new coach so the players will up to impress him.
If B Mac thinks the squad may be tiring or jaded just throttle back training or give them a few days off.
We can't afford to drop any more points, so it's safety first for me and play the whole squad minus peacock and anybody suffering injuries.

| We can definitely afford to drop more points. We need to be in the eight - at the moment almost a mathematical certainty. We need to give some of our top players a rest because (as we saw after 30 minutes against Wigan) they are knackered. Assuming we've no Hardaker, Briscoe, Moon or Delaney I'd go:
1. Watkins
2. Handley
3. Ablett
4. Keinhorst
5. Hall
6. Sutcliffe
7. Sinfield
8. Singleton
9. Burrow
10. Yates
11. Jones-Buchanan
12. Achurch
13. Ward S
14. Ward R
15. Leuluai
16. Mulhern
17. Walters
Rests for McGuire, Aiton, Peacock & Cuthbertson. All key players we need at 100% in the eights, all of whom looked knackered against Wigan.

I really hoped I would never see Burrow named as hooker ever again ..... if you're going to have both Burrow and Sinfield on the field please please put Sinfield at hooker with Burrow at Scum Half.
Surely JJB at loose too with S.Ward in his usual position.
That aside I would agree with who needs to be rested. The problem is I can also see this being a potential banana skin with all the hallmarks of last season's Bradford/London games.

| We lost against Bradford and London. We won both the games that followed (v Wire and v Cas) and won the Challenge Cup for the first time in 15 years. That was the tradeoff, and it worked.
Also, best case scenario we beat a gee'd-up Wakefield, take more gas out of the tank and then have a short turnaround to a fired-up Cas coming to Headingley for their cup final.
Worst case scenario we lose against Wakey and lose top spot but are still comfortable in both the Top 4 and Top 8 and have a much fresher core group for the Cas game and the relatively tough run that follows.

| Moon was charged with a Grade C (2/3 match ban) but has been found guilty of a Grade B so only has a one match ban and will be available for the Castleford game.

I'd be looking further adrift of the 8, we need to remain in the top 4, no top 4 no playoffs.

That's the problem we have. Three backrowers each taking up a fair chunk of salary cap, in JJB, Delaney, and Achurch, and each of them continually spend long periods on the sidelines. It's not like it's just once, it's been happening for last three seasons.

| Shame about Achurch as he shows glimpses of a decent second rower but sadly these are few and far between.
Not helped of course by the number of injuries he receives.
When does his contract expire?

| The thing is, he's been injury prone his entire career, even at Penrith. Hence his low appearances in the NRL, which made Leeds' decision to give him a 4 year deal very risky. At the moment, unless he can put an injury free run of form together between now and the end of next season, I can't see him getting a new deal.

If I were Leeds, I'd be coming to an "agreement" regarding the year left on his contract and letting him go at the end of this season.
However much he's on, you'd struggle to argue that he's providing value for money.
