Glad Ashes to Ashes has ended and TBH it was a good end. There’s only one last thing on TV now (bar the rugby and world cup football/when Leeds United are playing) that’ll I’m looking forward to watching and that’s V.

Highly doubt I’ll watch much TV shows after that. Will probably be all movies!

They were.

Gene was shot and killed in 1953 but he dreamed of being Gary Cooper and somehow ended up in a sort of police purgatory trying to guide other dead coppers to heaven while living out his own dream. Between Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes he did this for Sam. At the end of Ashes to Ashes, having done it for Alex, Ray, Chris and Shaz a new copper arrives (all bewildered just like Sam had been) so the process would start again.

Keates was a demon trying to tempt the coppers to hell. When Ray, Chris & Shaz nearly went with him the lifts (which only went down from there) were painted all red and Shaz heard a scream from down below.

Nelson, at the Railway Arms, was kind of St Peter.

Gene is like God, he sends them to the lit up pub which is heaven, the other guy is like the devil, the lift sent them down to hell. Or something. They we're in purgatory. That's where all coppers go? That's what I was told anyway and it made sense to me.

Puig has done a much better job explaining than me.

Mock the Week was a little better last night. It's still going downhill very fast though.

It went downhill when Frankie left the show. he was the only reason I used to watch it. Having said that I do find the one liners from the guy who used to warm the show up amusing. I just think they keep playing it safe with the comedians who they pick to go on there. They wont say anything too controversial on the Beeb so Auntie is happy. i mean how Andy Parsons holds a career down as a comedian is beyond me. I like High Dennis when he is acting but on a panel show he is getting tiresome, and dont get me started on Russell Howard and his annoying "oooh im gonna talk in a faux child voice to make my ty joke remotely funny". Its just getting very bland.


I enjoyed the new edition of Shooting Stars the other night but was left disappointed with the new Mitchell & Webb

I always assumed that Russell Howard was just there as something to look at for the ladies.

Even when Frankie was on it they seemed to get much better comedians on it. Parsons does my f-cking nut it. I hate the way he delivers jokes, he gives the punchline before actually saying it...

'Why did the chicken...cross the road?...to get to the...*audience laugh*...other side!' and his funny little walk to the mic before doing his bit. He does that every f-cking time, just for a cheap little chuckle. 'Ooo0o the bald funneh man is coming on! luk at iz lil funneh walkies! tee hee!'

W-nker. Russel Howard is just a bog eyed bunter. I like Hugh Dennis, alot of his stuff is quite dark and I like that, although his car insurance/accident at work stuff is really old now. TBH I sometimes think Dara is far too good for the show, he should quit, find something else. He was funny last night. Especially the magic biscuit tree bit. I LOL'd. Then I serious'd.

Shooting Stars is mind numbling boring. My gf loves it. She nearly barfed when watching the new series. Pulling funny faces and singing a song in a silly willy way isn't funny. And whats with the f-cking songs they sing?

Just watched Ugly Americans on YouTube. Apparently it's on Five, or Five US or whatever. Quite good. Different...

It was a tremendous show. Glad it's coming back. Very brave of them to move on without any of the old cast, bar Kenny, AFAIK.

Parsons can actually say some funny stuff, but its gets lost in his annoying delivery. Boyle was funny, but he was controversial, and left because he wanted to do edgier stuff, which is fair enough, but making something edgier doesn't necessarily make it funnier.

All comics can say some funny stuff. At times I laugh at comedians I hate and my mates/gf alllllllways say something like 'Ohhhhh laughing at them now are you!? Thought you hated them hmmmm?' if something is funny - it's funny and I'll laugh. Boyle was funny but I don't get why he left? What's he done since? Afew other panel shows? Thats all I've seen anyway and whats the point leaving a panel show to do more panel shows? I'm sure they'll all have similar rules on the dark/controversal stuff. Unless he's planning a tour this year? I dunno. Only thing I ever see of his lately is his un-funny column in the sun. And didn't he say he was going to quit when he was 40? Was it forty? He should be doing as much as possible if thats the case shouldnt he? Have I got anymore question marks? Only afew? How many left? Oh just these? (???????)

Misfits – missed it on E4 but caught the first episode on Channel 4 last week. It’s a cross between Heroes and Skins. Really enjoyed it.

I'm burning Laguna Beach to some DVDs. It looks like THE worst TV show I have ever not seen. Apparently it finished last week, it changed it's name to The Hills. And it had a very shocking ending...because it was actually fake in the end...
