| Would love Pryce but would be extremely surprised. I get the impression the Pryce family hate Leeds!
Thought Dylan Napa looked very good when at the Roosters but not seen him since then. Again, would love it to be true but seems unlikely!

| Ryan Hampshire announced he's leaving Wakefield anyone reckon he'd be worth a punt as utility back cover mainly in Halves & Full back which we need probably not a bad option as back up too Austin & Sezer also can cover full back if Walker picks up anymore injuries and offers extra cover wil Myler. People do seem too think we need thus 3rd half covering with Gale gone now.

| No better than Myler or Leeming covering that role so not a good use of the cap.

| I really don’t get the need for more cover in the halves.
We have plenty.
Obviously they’re not first choice halves, but that’s why its called cover!
We are much more in need of cover in the front row.
A couple of injuries to Mik and Prior and we are in much more trouble.
Look how Cats trampled us in 2020 when we had a shortage of props.

I agree with this and if we did bring a half in he probably be no better than how current options.Which decent half is going to be prepaired to sit in the stands waiting for his chance. Its a shame Gale didn't move earlier as i'm sure the club would have tabled a better offer to McLelland.

Yes just said the same thing on another thread. Then again maybe McLelland also wants first grade at this stage in his career.
The problem ultimately is that we haven't got the right quality ready from our own academy (which is not an issue unique to Leeds).
We have really struggled in the halves for years now, and unfortunately with Sezer on 2 years and Austin on 1 year, we haven't got stability there now either.

| Solomona from the NRL might be looking for a new club as he`s refusing to have his Covid vaccinations.
Now that would be a major signing and if GH can get Sydney to pay half his £500k a year salary and Bodene does a runner the Gale to Hull is as sweet as it can get.
Unfortunately it won`t happen I know.

Yes it is Melbourne my mistake.
Not sure if it is a requirement in the UK but is in Australia.
So if players like Solomona refuse they are putting themselves out of a job?
Yet the NHS have only made it mandatory for their staff to have the vaccinations from 2022.

Yes please! We’ll welcome him with open arms!
UK far less militant than Oz government, so he’d be able to play over here.....
Happy days all round!

I would be amazed if we did anything in the overseas transfer market now. Signing Sezer, Austin and Fusitu'a isn't a bad haul in one season to be fair.
Maybe better to take a run up for 2023 knowing who we are going to retain from Austin, Thompson, Martin and where the squad is still looking weak.
Briscoe also coming off contract next year so we should have natural availability of both cap and OS quota spots.

| 2022 is a one-off year for the club with the contract situation and the relative weakness of some clubs (i.e. Wigan). We need to absolutely maximise it because we probably won't be able to have this sort of strength in depth again for a while.

Us & HKR have reportedly offer Dylan Napa a contract it would mean we would have too release one of our overseas players already contract most likely Bodene Thompson, it would be a good way too spend the Salary Gale leaving freed up could pay Thompson off with it & then see if Napa takes our offer, Napa could be decent impact prop most definitely.

| I guess if Bodene's on, say £40-50k a year, there would be options of paying him out the final year/subsidising salary to a Champ club or something. Nothing against him but he'd clearly be the first OS spot under scrutiny if we needed to make space.
Not the end of the world if we can't put another high quality middle into the squad but it would make our credentials much stronger. Worry with Napa would be over his technique and whether we'd see him on the field enough. It would figure: Agar seems to like Tet at 13 (probably to get more game time into an expensive asset). A front four of Oledski, Holroyd, Prior and Napa would have some presence about it. We still lack a bit of whack.

There are strong rumours linking a trio of Leeds players to Fev on either loan or DR...the isue with Bodene from a Fev POV is that he's a back row and at Fev we already have Ferres, Hellewell, Davies and strongly linked with Jess Sene-Lefao.
Going to be interesting to see what comes of the Leeds-Fev link as the problem is Fev's main current area of shortage is the same as Leeds' ie middles/props, I thought Muizz/O'Connor along with a centre (perhaps Edwards) might be the most likely trio looking at Fev's areas of need but we'll have to see.

Certainly plays prop for us. My gut feel is that he is going nowhere and any talk of us being in for Napa or the like is agent generated fluff. We've even bumped him further up the squad numbers.
